I think there trying to stop the big peak ....i.e lockdown shutdown deal with what we have rather than oh s##t we have hundreds of cases all at once ...will be interesting to see if locking down slows the spread , I guess over time it will just become the same as common flu.....

....also numerous norwegians, locals and other tourists got a souvenir of the skiing holiday in ischgl, the bar was open for days even after the positive test. Here in tiny Tirol, we now have 254 cases... and it rises and rises :rolleyes:
 
French president will announce the lock down tonight at 8pm,after all the irresponsible scenes in Paris last weekend.

Gyms all shut here (as if I ever go lol) We had an intense 30 minute session last night in the lounge working out to acid techno. Brave new world..
 
The reason i didnt go for vote last night, a first as i used to vote but not after saying No gathering.

2 conctacts wrote that it should be total lockdown ,no one allowed to be out after 6pm for 45 days on his fb page
i thought it was already a lockdown? by total lockdown it means , STAY HOME !! :eek: ?Airport lockdown ? Wait n See

Lounges and bars got shut here today...so along with everything else we're basically on lockdown but noone's officially said it.
Strangely - malls are STILL open
 
80% of Ryanair flights grounded for April & May. Full grounding of the entire fleet hasn't been ruled out.

Believe it or not, Ryanair are still trying to flog flights to Alicante and Dublin on their website. It's about time that airlines followed the example of booking.com and hotels.com, in most cases they take your booking but not your money, you pay up when you get there. Why not airlines, then passengers would be more confident with their cash?
 
UK stuck in panic shopping and zero f***s given mode.

Might be different when we have a shortage of ventilators and critical care beds and have to choose who lives or dies.
 
Absolute farce here in n.i

Schools shut 5 miles away in republic of Ireland but still open here.

People don't know what to do and are panicking

Every shelf and freezer in the shops are empty

I really feel bad for self employed businesses having to shut

Il also add that although most bars and restaurants have taken it upon themselves to close, most gyms in my area have posted videos of a few spray bottles and stating that they are remaining open until they are forced otherwise.

I went to the gym on Friday night thinking it would be empty anyway (looking back this was irresponsible) and the gym was absolutely packed!
 
Went to my local pub on Saturday afternoon....fully expecting it to be quiet....was probably the most rammed I've ever seen it! People making the most of it before they all get shut down probably....

But weird, since surely 95%+ of their income is membership subscription?
