if you follow the clubbing industry you can easily see that now more and more events (festivals and club nights) are getting cancelled around the globe. I think no one of you will be surprised when I say that I personally think the start of the season will be affected here. the question will be how quickly europe gets the virus under control really. here on the island events in march and april are getting cancelled and I just heard schools are getting shut as well. we still only have one confirmed case currently (as of today), but I assume we'll get more as people still travel to the island - from madrid for example which is sadly a corona hotspot right now.
Yes madrid is the second highest in Europe after italy? schools and unis are closed and people are working from home

Some people already thinking to cancel their ibz trip.
i don't really think about it unless Ibz forbid all flights from France. Still ok to go to ibz even they apply restriction on parties , meaning going to ibz only for the sun/exploring stuff , Ibz the old fart way ??‍?
i got some non refunding booking ?, plane, car, hotel, tickets , may be my most expensive ibz, if buying some stuff and not allowed to enter IBZ ?
i will think twice now b4 spending money on non refundable booking, hoping sunny/warm weather gonna eradicate that virus ?
Yes hopefully when it gets warmer will be gone... I believe that starting from may at least will get better... I am going Ibiza in July no matter what

4 to 6 weeks and one knows more ...
if its a pandemic situation , the staff eill refuse the work : too Dangerous

I think its going to go on all early spring and summer. Getting the virus under control is merely about slowing down the spread and not having the peak number all in a short space of time where health services cant manage the spike.

I think Ibiza seasons will be hit all summer. Punters wont book in the same numbers.

the discussion shall continue here. at the same time I've created a separate thread in which we'll update you about any changes we get informed about

Last year was a write-off (until September) due to having tests for a heart condition (which proved negative) and I couldn't get fully insured and didn't want to rely totally on the EHIC; this year's gonna be a write-off until September again > at best.

What's in store in 2021? No doubt they will find a way to deny us Brits our ETIAS through mistakes, computer cock-ups, false positives and some bloke with a badge saying "you've not enough money for your trip my lad".

**Spent it all on bog roll and tinned sardines last year**

of course, but I can't see any government doing a shutdown that goes on for more than two months at most - the economic consequences would be too big. and once you lift a shutdown, people will start travelling again (surely in smaller numbers though). it's just about flattening the curve of the pandemic now it seems.

I'm also sure ibiza will notice this all summer, what I meant further above when I said 'affect start of the season' is that it's likely the season only starts later than originally planned. that's just an assumption of mine at this point though eh.

The shutdown of any cultural (and clubbing) events is a huge financial problem in my hometown but it must be devastating to ibiza. the thing is - if we all get on board, stay home as much as possible and adhere to government measures the faster this whole thing is contained. but if we say "f*** it, you can't make me stop partying" this will take only longer (and likely kill many of the weak in our society along the way).

If we dont have an extended shut down of normal life healthcare will collapse, in the UK at least.

I presume Ibiza doesn't have that great a capacity in it's health network, so wouldn't appreciate 100's of tourists turning up wanting treatment in summer in addition to locals. here in the UK I understand private health care send coronavirus patients to the NHS (our free health service) as they don't have the immediate emergency facilities.

as expected, time warp cancelled.....EDIT: maybe postponed only - they left that open in their message.

and I don't blame them for not wanting it. The deathrate is ... sad.
