Closing times

Unfortunately the heavy hitters in the clubs i.e sparklers in your vodka bottle types aren't interested in staying in clubs any time after 4am anyway.

This is the biggest argument in favor of late closing times. Once the heavy drinking crowd clears out the vibe gets better, music gets better, chain reaction.

My advice to first timers used to be to gut it out until 4am at which point the club will get a lot more fun. No longer advisable if the whole thing closes at 6.

Been said already but I suspect the clubs are more than happy to close as early as possible. Staying open until 8/9/10am means paying security, dj's, bar staff etc.

And the bars are hardly doing roaring trade at that time so it makes very little sense for them financially to stay open as they've got their door cash and the big hitters are long gone by 6am.

Saying that, selling one vodka Fanta limon gives them enough profit to power up the dry ice machine one last time......

sorry, but you couldn´t be further from the truth.

the clubs only stay open long on the nights where they know that it will be beneficial for them in an economic point of view. and speaking about the table areas, you couldn´t imagine how many bottles are still bought way past 6am.

DC10 have the last laugh I guess...don't want to tempt fate there!
4pm-6am, nice outside space and a main room/terrace setup inside.

Very disappointing that there isn't some compromise on this...I would have thought that some incentive to behave yourself for the rest of the season would have been mutually beneficial for all...

Not much chance of bothering with the Circoloco -> Cocoon carry on anymore then, especially as people dont seem to really go to dc10 til 8 or 9 these days

currently just san an (eden, es paradis, amnesia & privilege), others might follow.

to point out, AFAIK the rule is still that the clubs have one hour to empty their venue which in reality means the clubs will shut at 7am sharp, which is what was the rule for a while already. it‘s simply the late closings for venue opening and closing parties they want to prohibit now

the clubs have one hour to empty their venue
It's always been 30 minutes, not one hour!

Let's clarify this... If my memory serves me right (it's in the forum somewhere but I can't find it right now), the two clubs in the town have to close at 6am while the other two were given 30 minutes extra some years ago because they're outside!

Eden: 6am+30' to empty the venue
Es Paradis: 6am+30' to empty the venue
Amnesia: 6:30am+30' to empty the venue
Privilege: 6:30am+30' to empty the venue

I reckon these closing times will continue the same, even the articles last week said 6am!

IIRC it had to do with the size of the venue and the ones above 5K got one hour instead of 30mins....but I might be wrong.

because of overcrowding and the problems coming with it, the new government chose "quality" instead of quantity as their tourism model (if you want to call it "quality").
they prefer a few vips who are spending more money, to having lots of tourists spending little. what they can't see is that when the chemistry of the island changes that much the vips will stop to come, too. very short sighted, and I am left-leaning myself :/

Sorry if this is an obvious question - but do Amnesia and Privilege fall under San Antoni? I'm assuming if they do that only Pacha, Hi and Ushuaia really can extend beyond their usual hours still for opening and closing parties?

yes amnesia and privilege are on san antonio land (san rafael belongs to san antonio district).
