Plenty of STD if thats what you mean? Comfortably full imoHow packed do the clockwork events get?
Wouldn't workWish these guys would just do a full season rather than the one offs. I know that would dilute the market and that neither retro or that sankeys old skool night haven't been major successes but I think clockwork could make it work at the right location. The focus wouldn't have to be on old skool vibes, they could be more upfront. I think there is a place for them.
Thanks for that insightful, response. I will bow to your superior judgement.Wouldn't work
Not sure that's the case at all. All about being available at the right time to enjoy clockwork at present. It doesn't need to be that way. It's not what their success was built on. I get less is more but I think they could offer more and achieve success on a more regular basis because no one does what they do to the standard they do it anymore. The whole attraction of Clockwork Orange these days is that there's only a few parties a year. Any more than that it'll lose its appeal.
Clockwork are advertising that tickets for Sankeys go on sale at 9am Sunday. Is it really worth buying in advance? Surely I can just pick them up on the island right?

What about advance tickets then. Needed or not?

I was at es paradis too. The current incarnation is aimed at the original crowd, hence the reincarnation. I think there is a gap for what they originally did in modern terms. I think it's clear that there is a space for a well managed more regular night because retro and the sankeys nights just didn't promote well. It's been brought back as an old skool party with a mix of up to date classics. It wouldn't work as a regular party (see Retro last season & to a lesser extent dance 88/89)
As much as I would love to see a regular weekly party from Clockwork as someone who attended their original parties in Es Paradis, as I said it just wouldn't work.
They certainly know how to put a party on but to keep the vibe they've recreated, less is definitely more.
I think Danny is only left out for a few days..The whole attraction of Clockwork Orange these days is that there's only a few parties a year. Any more than that it'll lose its appeal.

TBH I'm promoting the idea of two different parties. What co is now is very different to what it used to be but aimed at the same audience as it was two decades ago with the same tunes. The original was hedonistic, pretty eclectic in its music policy, located in San An and better value for money than its competition. I think there is maybe a gap for the original in a modern incarnation for a U.K. Crowd that is interested in more than edm and less interested in techno.I think you've argued your own point there, mate.
The current revival is mainly aimed at its older, original crowd. Older people with families, less time to devote to clubbing & nights out. CO would just be another house night in Ibiza if it was weekly.
What would a younger crowd know about CO? Very little at best. It's a no go & pointless discussion anyway because it's not going to happen.
Re Retro & Dance 88/89- they were promoted very well, particularly Dance 88/89. They had their weekly line-ups out months in advance & really pushed it. Everyone going to Ibiza knew about it unless your head was buried in the sand.
I've bought my clockwork tickets already. I saw that Koko sold out and didn't want to risk it. Paid a fair old whack for the hotel, with it being peak season and all, would've been terrible not to get tickets
If I was co I'd be saying if you want Nassau you have to buy the Sankys Friday ticket
