It's all about the Sunday I think ! But they need to do something very special with Sankeys to rival Es P and I don't think the place readily has enough scope for that. Per capita revenues considered against outlay likely needed for a one-off extravaganza deck-out. You can have a dingy reunion in London if it's the reunion that matters most rather than the whole experience ... having it in Ibiza warrants a more compatible venue imho. Just sayin' !
 
Are they only looking for reunion crowd like ex workers and mid 40s back in the day parents bringing their 20 year old kids with them to show how better it was..:eek: I cant see a reunion work every year without getting new punters in the door.
 
^^ I agree. But the beach and after-beach parties (the latter being at Dunes) make it a 3-event deal overall. Sankeys is technically a slightly smaller capacity club than Es Paradis (I think) - 1200 vs 1700 ish ? So maybe that has something to do with it.

From the reaction on the various FB event pages there are a whole load of newbies who didn't come to the Ibiza event last year who are gagging for it! Also there are a surprising number of younger clubbers at the London events which seems to be increasing although of course the core are still 35+ Im sure the event at Sankeys will be successful. Danny knows how to put on a party... evidence enough at Nassau last 2 years and the London events. Lightbox isn't bright and shiny and it worked really well there. As someone above said, its more about the reunion and the people than the club itself.. the experience has moved on from that as the crowd have grown up maybe.
 
Probably an argument over money between CO and Es paradis. DG has spent YEARS championing Es P as the best club in the world and a holy ground for CO , so the "freshen it up" thing doesnt add up at all. It will probably still be a good night, but wont be authentic CO vibe in my opinion.

A Hacienda reunion maybe, but not CO.

Saying that, I'm still going. All booked up as of last night. Lets hope someone can share a Joe with me from San An;)
 
I'm booked up for the 3rd year of the Clockwor reunion. My first year in Ibiza was '99 so although clockwork was at Es Paradis then, I was next door with Dave Pearce in Eden! ha!

The previous Es Paradis party's were fantastic, last years was not as good as the first due to a couple of Dj's being unable to mix! Also it was quite a bit more empty. But as some people have commented, the Sunday beach party is the highlight, if you're coming you'll be in for an amazing day and the after party at Dunes is a perfect venue imo.

Hotel wise I have booked 3 nights in San an and 3 nights in Figuretas, so will be getting a taxi/disco bus back from Sankeys!

Can't bloody wait!

He seemed to be ok, also he had the 1-2am set, but he just nodded his head through mixes that were in time but the beats were way out! I'll let him off though as he is partly responsible for all of us being in this House music lark!
 
Ive seen him a few times and he is generally hit and miss - good tunes but you often get a train wreck!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who realised, most people around me didn't! I buggered of to the bar with some drink tokens that Brandon Block gave me!
