Circoloco @ DC10 2016

not nowadays. this year it's not got proper full so far before midnight except the opening party.
next week might be different though because of disclosure. also the crowd might be a bit different I guess

I visit at least once every year but it's always peak season, late July, early August hence why it's always so busy.

I hope this years theme continues & it's quieter when I'm there next month!

I thought it was weird as well, discussed this about 1 page back. Definitely not something i would want to hear at all, but everyone is entitled to their own style. I actually gave their boiler room set a chance and couldn't even get through it.

I was there last night solely for disclosure the place was rammed. Never expected it but was a class set had to leave after tho due to the sheer amount of people pushing in the crowds

Sorry to hear it was too full to be really fun, but thanks for posting that report. I'm anxiously waiting for them to post the lineup for next week when I'm there.

Anyone have thoughts on the Circoloco lineup for next week, 18th July (see attachment), either in general or specific recommendations?

The lineup is rather outside my usual music listening range, but I'm looking to try some new things on this trip. That includes finally getting to DC10 and a Circoloco night, and this is my one Monday on the island.

I like it, pretty standard Circo Loco line up. Top 2 lines are pretty much residents. Squillace and Tania play quite hard techno/tech house. D'julz plays house and some tech house, and Chez Damier plays a more traditional US House sound.

"Guests" wise, Mike Servito and DJ Qu are both New York DJ's who are very well respected. Tom Trago is also very good, can play anything ranging from disco to techno. Josh Wink plays house/techno with acid squeeks and bleeps - I saw him at sonar the other week and he was excellent.

Its a line up that wont turn many heads but the music will be solid and it shouldn't get too busy...

exactly that. its not the strongest Circoloco line up in the world. But the plus side of that is that you will have some room!

Agreed. Don't wanna be that person but wasn't that long ago we got CircoLoco lineups in advance (I think) and most the names you didn't know. Certainly rarely saw people of statute like Solomun, Carola etc...!

I might actually finally make it to dc10 next monday. like the line up I have to say. petar dundov, josh wink, pional (!!), kenny glasgow...could be exactly one of those nights that seem a bit standard but could turn into a standout.

Thanks for the all the feedback -- much appreciated! I'll definitely stick to my plans and give it a go then. For sure, some of my best nights out have been discovering great artists who I just haven't listened to before. And a bit of room to move and dance will be OK by me.

Nice! It would be great to meet the infamous stivi if you do make it out. :) If you happen to see an American guy, probably wearing a serotonin molecule necklace, soaking in his first time at DC10, do say "Hi!"

Josh Wink still the most under booked DJ in the World IMO. A total class-act. (Though just saw he's at Pacha at end of month too)
