Is there any action to be taken against the scum who were making monkey chants at Drogba as he walked off? This seems to be a serious problem in Spain, from the National coach down

Sil, I reckon Frank told Jose how good he looks for an older man and that he'd definitely get it and that's what upset everyone. Frisk sent off Drogba because nobody fancied him. :lol:

That's what I heard happened anyway.

Sorry Ed, but I was there an nobody make monkey chants at Drogba :evil: , we all shouted at him cos he need about 20 minutes to get off but that was all
 
Maurice doesn't know jack about what's going on out here so, rather than respond to the provocation, I'm going to ignore him and advise you all do the same.

As for the Russia Journal, it's a crap publication that doesn't even bother printing anymore because nobody read it. Their reporter that wrote a lot of that Oligarch's section is John Helmer, who is THE most biased foreign reporter I have met out here and also usually way off the mark.

Not true. He might be fined, but nothing's been announced yet. And regarding the tunnel, Chelsea says there was no fight (the press made that part up) but they haven't said yet what the rest of the story is.

Speculation had been rife that Ten Cate had kicked the Chelsea manager on the backside during an alleged tunnel fracas involving the Barca assistant and the club's goalkeeping coach Silvinho Louro. Chelsea have yet to make any comment on that incident but insist that Ten Cate did not assault Mourinho.

However, the Londoners will be pressing UEFA to deal with Rijkaard's actions at half-time. It is understood that Rijkaard was seen leaving Frisk's dressing room during the interval.

Why? So you can read biased Western reports about Russia by people who try to apply their own template and value system to a different country? It's like Russians looking to the UK and wondering why all your family and friends are sitting on their asses getting welfare payments instead of trying to work for a living.

Silva, I think in fairness to Ed, it was reported widely in the UK press that there was a huge amount of Monkey chanting when Drogba walked off. If you're are saying it wasn't that, just general booing, fair enough.

Regarding the tunnel incident, I think I'll reserve judgement like Morbyd until the official complaint goes in. As I have said before, Mourihno usually takes stuff on the chin and I would be surprised if this reaction was mere petulance or bad sportsmanship.

Ben, at the begining of the match there was anti-racial announcments in english and spanish and everybody clapped hands. When Drogba left (can't he walk faster :roll: ) there were 95.000 people shouting at him. It sligtly seemed there were few monkey shouts but it could also be people just shouting. And that slight feeling was very short. THat's how I lived it.

The thing is that british are obsed about our racism. I agree we are not the most exemplar league on that front but as we say in spanish: once you get the fame then it takes ages to take the labels off (does it make sense)

And about Mourinho's thing, it just sounds silly, he didn't talk to press and it seemed there were something in the tunnel but they are keeping it so secret that it seems it's just a childish attitude... At least from here ;)
 
That's what I meant Silvia, that we only read it in the paper but that I would take your word for what actually happened as you were there.

If it was just Mourinho being a bad loser I will be very disappointed in him. :(
