Ehem

I've only heard Reijkard saying something about but it was all confused. Well, I'm really confused, my brain is frozen

What are you doing here, get back to your Barcelona post missy  ;)

It's all very vague on TV, something happened at half-time and Mourihno went running after ref saying 'you can't do that, i'm going to report you' and then in post-match conference Reijkard says he was just over reacting.

Nobody wants to talk with me in my barcelona post

Silly but I can't find it on the internet and there's no aftermatch programs :?

It's not clear in the stories I've seen posted around the 'net so far.

The ref did call an aweful lot of fouls on Chelsea (why do Barca players tip over on the ground so easily? and why wasn't Deco booked for that pathetic acrobatic dive???) and not as many on Barca. I noticed it, but I don't think it affected the game in the end.

The 2nd yellow card on Drogba, however, was bulls**t as I see the replays. It was a 50-50 chance of getting to that ball.

No matter. We'll see what the 2nd leg brings at the Bridge. I'm looking forward to it :) Another 1-0 win at home? Fine by me! :D

OK... I'm off to bed. It's 2am here and I gots ta work in da mornin'

FYI - about Mourniho's protest. Something in the tunnel at halftime. Maybe something about the Barca coach talking to the ref.

ok. g'night :D

Well, now the dust has settled I agree with Barbie and Morbyd that all in all it's a good result for us. The ref was very poor and now there's all this fuss about an incident in the tunnel, but I think the away goal is going to work hugely in our favour.

I don't envy Mr Frisk having to come to West London, he's in for a warm reception.

It seems every body is happy :D

For us it's not a good result but it's not a bad result. The only good thing is that Mourinho now can eat his own words. I thought he never lost two games with Chelsea... Sorry guys, but he was really prepotent and arrogant, before the match, during the match and after the match. And all that tunnel thing it seems it's him overreacting.

Anyway, it was great being there :D

Silvia how can you slag off Mourinho, he would so get it for an older man  ;) He's referred to in our flat as God

.... only after I have finished with him babes..... ;)

My two penneth:

Drogba's challenge wasn't even a foul - he got a foot on the ball either before the keeper or simultaneously. The fact that the keeper was in his path and get clattered afterwards is exactly what happens in fair challenges anywhere else on the pitch. If you were really looking to excuse the ref, perhaps you might say that it is 'ungentlemanly conduct' to go for a ball that close to the keeper, but it would be then be clearer to define within what distance of the keeper the ball is 'unplayable'. Furthermore, I suppose no ref would have been able to keep up with play enough to be in a position to see the incident any better than Frisk did. From behind, at a distance, he probably couldn't see that Drogba got the ball - it would have just looked a bit 'Nat Lofthouse'. That, however, is where the linesman should have been consulted.

I'm sure Chelsea would have taken the win if the ref had got something similarly vital wrong against them, So... ho hum...just one of those things.

He is not as much arrogant as just very sure of himself. We like him for this :D
As for the tunnel, you can't say he was overreacting until all the facts are out. Right now, we only have Rijkaard's point of view. Little bits from the Chelsea side, which hasn't fully commented yet, seem to say that Frisk and Rijkaard spoke about a moment in the game during halftime (no matter how trivial the conversation, that's out of bounds). During the subsequent argument, Mourinho apparently took a kick in the backside from a Barca assistant coach 8O Also, the referee apparently said something to Mourinho while trying to rush Chelsea onto the field for the 2nd half.

The Drogba card was harsh. It killed the whole containment plan, which worked great in the first 55 minutes.

I'm trying to figure out why Deco wasn't carded for that Olympic gold medal dive he took trying to win a penalty 8O

Heres my bit..

I'm also happy with the result 8) Chelsea's goal came completely against the run of play, and we were a bit stunned after it.
The result means Chelsea will have to try to score at some point at Stamford Bridge, so we should be able to find a few more gaps than yesterday. Chelsea defended very well.. they parked the bus in front of goal.. ;)

Thought the sending off was a bit harsh, but thats how european refereeing is this days. Those yellow cards are normal in Spain or Italy.
Even Ray Wilkins thought the sending off was fair.

Why do we have to wait 2 weeks fopr the return leg???

Morbyd, in my house someone who says "I'd never lost two games in a row" or someone who dares to give the other team alineament it's called arrogant. You can be confident without being that provocative ;)

The mood is quite upbeat in West London as well :D
Thats because theres only 1 TEAM in West London and they play in blue and white HOOP'S and hate chelasea !

Being a Shepherds Bush Boy born and bred i know that QPR are by far the greatest football team the world has ever seen!!

Its all bout the goldhawk road and the Bush Ranger !!

Ya... he is a little on the provocative side. He's just playing mind games. The key is not to take it too seriously. :)
