Can anyone remember what they got for xmas?

i know how you feel. Counting down the minutes until 5 o'clock.

And I cant remember what I got for xmas. I know I got my girlfriend at the time an ipod then split up with her a week later. I would have asked for it back but it was pink!

5 o'clock, i've got a residents meeting at 6:30 tonight - can't wait

However, the lady who's apartment where it's being held literally forces the wine down your neck :o

yeah man!!

A diesel watch- currently on my wrist
pair of diesel jeans - funnily enough wearing em now!!
some clinique stuff - again used this morning

;)

I got 2 shirts, some underwear and t-shirts, a 1GB SD memory card and found out I had to financially bail out my parents to the tune of several thousand dollars.

Not my best Christmas

No, they'd just been having a hard time for over a year (Neither had been working) and rather than tell anyone they built up an insurmountable amount of debt.

Thanks. Doesn't feel so cool. The amount I've spent helping them out since I found out over Xmas is about what I would/should have saved so far this year. As it is, I've got jack all in the bank

pooo!!

you did the honourable thing!!!

happened to my folks a few yrs back, dad had to go in hospital, then took 6mths to convalesce, lost his job.......luckily they ahd a bit in savings so covered themselves for most of the time...however when me & our kid found out they were doing the weekly shop on dads visa, we stepped in!! the thing is, you just do it, you dont give it a 2nd thought. Im happy to report that they did get themselves back up and dad's still on course to retire @ 65!! ;)

Sounds like your parents' story had a happy ending. Hope my parents' does too. Dad's got a couple of jobs in the pipeline but no offers yet.

The only thing that's depressing is to think of how much $$ I'd have in the bank now if it hadn't happened (and how I could more quickly implement the London relocation plan).

Anyway, it was not the best way to spend Xmas!!

Yeah but imagine the stress and heartache you could have had if you had not been in the position to help them out? A worse Christmas and following year for both them and yourself in worry....

Sometimes, that's just what cash is for - you cant take it with you, and face it you have a lot more earning potention going forward than they probably have.......
