Care to provide some background info to this photo?

Like when, where, how and what the hell are you doing with George W?

:?::?:
lol
I met him when he attended a round table discussion about renewable energy near Boulder. My roomate has a family friend who coordinates the press pool that travels with the pres. She got us into the thing, then ushered us to the front, and then shoved us in front of the governor, and senators of colorado so that we could shake his hand and get a picture with him. It was a crazy experience! My roomate has met him several times and was flown out to North Carolina last week to help with some presidential function or other.

The cool thing about it is that I am the first member of my family ever to meet a president.

I would have thought George's definition of renewable is "a resource that is replaceable if you're prepared to invade the Middle East to get it, as is our god-given right".

What did he have to say on the subject?

And what kind of handshake does he have?

:?::?:

He is dedicated to investment in cellulosic ethanol technology, he believes other renewable energy sources should be expanded (solar, wind), and he is setting drastic goals for the US's transition to renewables (change 75% of current energy imports to domestically produced renewable energy by 2025)
While he may be an idiot on certain issues (war, stem cell research), he is the most pro renewable energy president we have ever had. (which you must admit is a pleasant surprise)

I can't think of how to describe a handshake without it sounding homoerotic so- it was warm, firm, confident, and over as quickly as it began :lol: :lol: :lol:

That qualifies as erotic?

Boulder must be a cold, lonely place in winter.

Re: the US's transition renewable energy, I hope it goes according to plan.

Does anybody else have a photo of themselves with a world leader?

:o:o

I don't know about "world" leader but I've got a photo with the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbaev. Unfortunately, the missus was a bit nervous when taking it so it's a little bit blurry :lol:

(and please save the Borat jokes, people :roll: :lol: )

Post it, post haste!

Not that easy, good doctor. I'd have to look hard to find it. It's at home somewhere... (and not scanned in yet)
