BORA BORA reopening 27th May 2005

and what if they take the ex-Tahiti location as there outside bar and expand the blue glass disco till the beach, this could be possible from licenses and who partly give the same atmosphere as before, maybe even better.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Even some music is better than none. Be interesting to see how they turn the inside into a club. Surely the ressies of the Jet won't like it much... :?:

“You would have to ask the authorities about this, but I believe in Europe the regulations are fairly standard – if you have a relevant license you can open. Pete Tong already forwarded me an email saying it looks like Bora Bora have got over their own issues and will be opening this year. I really hope this is true and that all the famous and cool venues in Ibiza get permission to keep operating legally. I think some of the negativity that went around this winter doesn’t help the island, the problems need to be resolved internally with a focus placed on the future.”

Oli still wasn't sure when I spoke to him 2 weeks ago at Wildchild. We'll see I guess. You've got to be happy with playing that place for so long at his age 8)

Thanks so much for you input on all that’s going on with Bora Bora etc, sorry that we haven’t been able to keep up with regular info as much as we would have liked but so much has been going on and changing all the time, I can tell you that we are working very hard on the issues that you have been asking about. all of your support and words of encouragement have been truly amazing and I and Bora Bora could never thank you enough, you have never given up and anything good that does happen with the Bora Bora future is because of you, so we hope in a very short time to let you know of some interesting developments that may be to your liking.

I must say that I'm a bit confused with this situation going on with Bora Bora... Gee said VERY LOW chill out music, but you sure do not get that kind of feel from the picture above in wich it say "beach disco"...Well, I guess time will tell. I would absolutely like the music and atmosphere to be as full as it has always been in 2005 and in the future. Seriously, low music is better that no music, but somehow I just can't picture BB as a chill out place.

From his tour dates, it only shows the opening so far, maybe also the closing.
Or mayb also June 4th & 5th!, since it shows Bora Bora and not Gee Moore! Any inside on this McRackin?
