Bora Bora - No music!...

just as a matter of interest, i have seen no mention whatsoever of the bora bora story in the local press. i read it every day and i've even done a special search today and there's absolutely nothing. the main stories are about the return to school next week for the kids!

and also that stella matutes (daughter of..........), after a few days searching for it, finally found her cat!!

I went to Bora Bora for the first time befor Carl Cox closing and had a brilliant time, shame to think it will be my last time there!

Yep me too. That would probably have been the last time it'll be open.

It is sad, but as James and co have said, there's so much more to the island and I'm sure something new and exciting will open up in its place.

I'm just been thinking about this. I can understand the noise being a problem at night, but surely other bars playing music in that area (Tahiti, the Space shack) will still be allowed to play music during the day, so why not Bora Bora? It really does stink of the other clubs trying to shut it down.

And why Sa Trincha as well? There's no developments around there, although I know the new government has now given it the go ahead.

Ibiza resident: do you think all this is down to the current Conservative government?

It's a pity. But nevertheless we must look forward. As already mentioned there are a lot of other things to do in ibiiiiiza.

i also have one question: do the bars trough pdb , the bars in ibiza town oder cafe mambo and cafe del mar still play music? (a friend of mine goes to ibiza the second time this year next week and wanna know)

thanks and chherz

But are the other bars imposing such a huge threat to space. don't forget it was the disco mafia that got it closed down.

just a thought.

That's what I'm saying Robo. It looks so obvious that it's the other clubs jealousy which has lead to DC10, Sa Trincha and Bora Bora being shit down.

The evil noise pollution and the righteous battle against it

relax fellas - yes as robo says its a shame, but there is so much more to the island:

1) sunset at san antonio
...
4) the space terrace - yes it's expensive, yes it's the best club in the world by a mile

1) I've never been to San Antonio (ok, a taxi driver took us there once by mistake because there was apparently a tiny beachlet with the same name as the cocoon closing after beach! - we left in 10 minutes), and I'm not going to go there.

4) Space is not the best club in the world, DC 10 is. And now it's been closed!

We're arriving for the second time this summer in a week, and now that three of the absolute favorites

1) DC 10 (it's more important than BB) (no need to explain that the inside room can stay open)
2) BB
3) Sa Trinxa

have been closed, I'm more thinking of hosting an anti-government demonstration than having a good time! The flights I can't cancel anymore. I guess they'll crack down on the cocoon closing after as well now, *BEEP* them.

Anyone want to explain the mechanism by which the "local businesses" and "neighbours with a normal life" in the "immediate vicinity" of DC10 are "suffering immensely" from the noise pollution???!!! The place is in the middle of a huge, deserted field next to the airport runway for *BEEP*'s sake!!!

Can someone organise letter templates in Spanish and find addresses where to send them! If DC10 and BB don't reopen (or equally good new places open, which is not the easiest task), I don't think me and my friends are coming to spend the regular few thousand euros each on the island. I'd like to at least let the authorities know this! :!:

Petrus ... you will hate this but the after party of cocoon was at ... Bora bora

I'm talking about the cocoon CLOSING after, I don't think that's ever been on Bora Bora. Hope to see you there on Sep 21st!

It's never been at Bora Bora and this year and last was at Calla Llonga although I believe they've had the police down a few times so it might be different for the closing.

Best bet is to ask about on the night, especially if you have access to the VIP area.
