he was advising me to check out brazil and insisted he will be trying to arrange a similar venue to bora bora in brazil.

Yeah but flying to brazil or to ibiza is big difference!

indeed and thats exactly wot i said to Gee when he mentioned brazil,...but he assured me that it was possible to get flights as cheap as 300 pound :D

he couldnt answer wether he was going to be doing bora bora next yr. :?
its surprising that he said that because, apart from one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, he is also very optimistic..........

ill def second that this was my 1st time meeting him and hes a very nice bloke and very down to earth

This is horrible news, it just won't be the same without music. Does anyone have any updates on this, flying out this Wed.

DC10 was closed on Monday but did manage to open at around 3pm apparently. "Sabotage" was mentioned for the reason for having to close and its looking very shaky for the future. Sa Trincha also were told to stop playing music and Monday was the last day Jonothan Grey was allowed to DJ down there.

I'm sure a particular guy from this forum and all the residents living next to Bora Bora (who is living there?) will sleep well next season during the night! ;)

What kind of sick comment is that! Look i love Bora Bora too but everybody is entitled to have his opinion and most off all a good night sleep. It is not the locals who shut bora bora it is the peeps that shout out load and piss the locals off!

Exactly! Vote for most ridiculous local power attack to close down competitive business in the hood. That will teach them a lesson!!

i stayed right above the entrance to BoraBora for the last 2 weeks... I get so pissed off watching all the retarded people stumbling around and throwing beer bottles into the walls etc. i think some dude over dosed the one night and was taken away... this is from sept 7 at 11:15pm. PDB has really become a huge tourist trap like most of the rest of the island and just a matter of time before everything goes to crap. I just wish EVERYONE had a little more respect for the island, the environment and OTHER PEOPLE!

which island are we talking about here? most of the rest of ibiza is virgin forest and agricultural land - only a small percentage is dedicated to tourism and a fraction of this to the youth tourism which gives the island its reputation.

I suppose the Jet apts will suffer if Bora Bora really closes.Bora Bora was the reason we stayed there this july. We're going back(not to Jet though) in two days for a week and I'm really diseappointed if Bora Bora is closed

Wimpers: it was an ironical point I did before, of course I know that are not the locals who want to shut down Bora Bora, but it was already dicussed before in a previous forum that you can avoid the problem caused by some primitive people adding some more security outside the beach bar.

Yep, that's what I said... :D
Look's like a mute point now. The party poopers have won. Typical response - instead of addressing the problems, just shut it down.

Bora Bora is dead. Long live Bora Bora. :(

The whole island appears to be quiet - can anyone confirm or deny the rumour that everyone has been told to stop playing music outdoors and that if don´t have a roof.. you don´t play??

In Ibiza Town lastt night and nothing was being played - anywhere!

i'm as 'sad' as the next person to hear that there will be no more music at bora bora this season, and looks like the inevitable of no bora bora next year is upon us, but i for one think that people who say that they will not go back to ibiza, just because of this is completly ridiculous, and an irrational excuse.

Don't get me wrong i will be 'sad' and 'upset' not to be able to go back to bora bora again, but there are plenty of other things to do, and much fun will be had.

sadly i do think that if BB does shut then i think that a lot of people will reconsider there summer clubbing destination next year.

There was no music yesterday (Friday 10 September) either.

Bit of a pity as I'd been hoping to take some pics and have one last dance before my flight home.

calm down wimpers - we all know that Markel has a very special sense of humour and most importantly, he respects the island and the locals MORE THAN THE LOCALS!! 8O

(i havent stopped laughing since he wrote that neighbours "should not complain about the noise or even about the behaviour of the people" and all that nonsense crap in another thread..........)

no comments needed :!:

..Whats the reason for stop playing music at Bora-Bora?
..The missing permission?

And who said that the club is now without music till end of the season?
The owner, the Manager of Bora-Bora or DJ Gee?

Whats with DJ Gee for next year?

Will there be music at Bora-Bora next year again?

no, i don't think so. bora bora might be open, but just as a beach bar.

and the disco mafia got the place closed down.

>> I'm never going back

relax fellas - yes as robo says its a shame, but there is so much more to the island:

1) sunset at san antonio

2) the odd sunday best parties at secret locations

3) full moon parties at s'estanyol (oh should i have mentioned that?)

4) the space terrace - yes it's expensive, yes it's the best club in the world by a mile

5) pacha, amnesia and privilege - just as cool

6) the undeniable buzz of ibiza town

7) the gorgeous beaches

8 ) bars like underground, km5, la diosa, morgana.

before we all get too misty-eyed about bora bora, the island did fine without bora bora for years - only in 1998 did it spring up from nowhere.

the new next big thing will be along soon and everyone will wonder how the island survived without it.

i am so glad i had some really cool sessions at bora bora this year - now that's a piece of history i shall be trying to describe to my grandchildren ;-)

'tis a shame though, i agree :(
