I am awaiting a call from Cream contact to find out what they have been told - might have an update before Amnesia at this rate!!!!

Tell me about it its doing my head in! im at work and all day i have been trying to fine an update that is actually correct and true, gess we will have to w8 and see what the ibiza news papers say 2moz morning! lol i cant see the clubs being closed though

i was actually in festival club and havent heard anything new/checked the newspapers/etc yet. can someone please explain to me whats going on? ta!!I expect he's having a siesta too.

The fight against drugs took a turn yesterday when the head of the State Administration, Manuel Bar, announced the closure of three of the island's largest clubs due to repeated drug offences. The clubs are Amnesia, Bora-Bora and DC-10, the first two will be forced to close their doors for one month, while DC-10 will remain closed for two months. The three establishments were also all given fines of 6,000 euros each. The closures are a warning from Bar, that he will no longer tolerate the clubs lack of co-operation when it comes to the dealing and consumption of drugs.
Bar explained that there were many clubs on the island that took a very responsible view and took the necessary measures, offering an unprecedented level of co-operation with the authorities. He explained that he understood that it was a difficult problem, and that it could never be completely stopped. However he claimed that some of the clubs were turning a blind eye, and even facilitating the consumption of drugs. The closure orders will have immediate effect and will be actioned this week.
The news followed the opening nights of all the major discos on the island, which ended with eleven people being rushed to hospital suffering the results of the consumption of drugs. Police also made a total of thirty arrests in drug-related incidents. A delegate for the Govern Balear, Ramon Socias, said that the decision had been a final resort. He continued by saying that he did not want to criminalise the owners of the clubs, because they were not to blame. However there were several meetings held between the authorities and the clubs, and measures were agreed to try and curb the consumption of drugs within the establishments. However these particular clubs did not respond in an adequate fashion, and have therefore been punished.
