Books

Read Brett Easton Ellis' Lunar Park on holiday. Starts very well but goes quite psychoanalytical at the end. And he chatted me up at a book signing!

Reading The Tipping Point (being a good marketeer!) and William Boyd's Any Human Heart now.

Also read "We Need to Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver - again, totally gripping - by the end I was reading it walking along the road because I couldn't put it down.

That's on my pile for September Ibiza reading.

I've bought so many books recently I need to get them down to a shortlist for Ibiza reading.

Babs in list-making shocker!!

Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach. This book did more for me in the 5 days it took to read it than 3 therapists did over 5 years.

The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. Quite simply the scariest book I've ever read- mainly because most of it is true!

American Scream: The Bill Hicks Story by Cynthia True. I was a Bill Hicks fan for years before reading this book. It will make you wish he was still alive today with his sharp observation and social commentary. No doubt the man was a genius, and quite possibly the funniest stand-up ever. but the book's a bit crap and doesn't do him justice if I'm honest. Buy Relentless on DVD instead.
