Disgusting...no excuses under any circumstances. Complete lack of respect for cultural heritage, beautiful architecture and belief systems of others.

Very cross. Grrr. How dare they.

but it was other Muslims who bombed it!

Very sad situation indeed.

other muslims or some "Agents Provocateur" posing as muslims trying to fan the flames of an already "powder keg" situation, ie cause a civil war, cause even more problems, possible early withdrawal of occupying forces.

An official statement from acting foreign secretary, Robder, said that Britian was 'very cross' with the allegedly Suni Muslim perpetrators.

He also recommended to the UN that sanctions be taken out against them, and in particular that they be 'sent to the naughty cupboard'

Serious response:
This sort of violence has little to do with religion, the cause of the problem is unnecessary hate and fear - this can originate from anywhere...even within its own community.
Christian, Muslim - no different really, anger is anger after all...and not all Muslims are bad boys. My worry is that this will fuel the now widespread 'We hate Mulsims' belief. :x

Non serious response:
Actually you bunch of rude (unts I was fully aware that Muslims were responsible!
Any more comments like that and you're all up for review and possible barbeque-ing in my George Forman:

I'm not disagreeing with you, but don't think your angry, purist slant on the problem is very constructive.

It's up to the individual whether they embrace religion or not, and not all religious types are fundamentalist c__ts.

Yes, 90% of wars have been fought for 'religious reasons' but the underlying cause is hate and fear...this isn't specific to any faith.

Damning all Muslims is just going to spread more hate - it's a simple shift towards a much healthier viewpoint, that's all. ;)

...and if drawing pictures makes you happy then carry on Chewie.

It might be the Yanks........causing a kick off so they can get all heavy....or heavier??

I think it's more complex than sunni vs shi'ite, I seriously think there are malevolent forces behind this.

i couldnt give a rats arse if they kill one another, if they cant be civil to one another sod em. dunno why its our frigging problem anyway. if we learned from history and let them do wtf they wanna do with their lives, none of this crap would be happening.

and i wasnt damning all muslims. :p ive got very good friends who are muslim and like me, couldnt give a **** about centuries year old tribal squabbles and power struggles.
