Best way to get a tan???

for how not to do it, just go to an 18-30 hotel and spot the young, pale skinned fools, roasting away, knocking back aftershocks at 1.30 in the afternoon!!!!

fools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I certainly wouldnt say we are all fools - its cheap, you get to meet loadsa "interesting" people and have a good time. just beacause someone stay's in the westend or with 18-30 doesnt mean we go around with our footie shirts on falling over each other to get to strikers.

Granted 50 % do that  but remember we are not all idiots!!!

very true!!

apologies for the "over-generalisation", was more for comedy effect than true malice!! in fact last time i was on the "white island" was courtesy off 18-30 in san an (i was 31 felt like a bit of a rebel) had a great time!!! including an episode with a girl nearly half my age, but thats another story!!!........ahem!!!

on a serious not from me!! if i wasnt there long i would go on the sunbeds at home for a week before you go then once your there have a day in the sun constantly to top up what you already have

Thats what I do anyway and always get a decent tan. Tend to use the lower factors as my skin is already brown when I go over :P

factor 30 mate, its a marathon not a sprint! uve got a while so top it up gradually and ull be sorted.

let me get this straight ... an episode with a girl nearly half your age .....

.... hold on that mean she was nealry 15 and a half :P :P :P

and we wonder why 18-30 gets a bad reputation :D :D

right ok, let me re-dress this before i get labelled as another graham rix or sommat!! the "nearly" thing can go both ways u know!!! she was 17!!! and a mature 17 at that!!!

For those who, like used to, want to party all night and sleep all day, the trick has got to be UV sunbeds. There are a fewing tanning shops about that give you a days worth of tanning in 15-20mins. Sure it costs more than the beach but it does mean that your parents/work colleagues will think you´ve actually seen the sun.

p.s. i accept no responsibilty if you get skin cancer.

Mambo, Isn't factor 8 a bit "low" :? specially if you have pale skin. I'm using 15 and then go down to 12, I'm pale but as hispanic I don't get red, and with those factors I get a really nice tan all summer long. 8)

I dont have pale skin, i go on the sunbeds before hand, as i am now. I start off with factor 6 too 8O :?, bit naughty really. As im there for two weeks this year i'll be a bit more sensible. Your lucky to live in a country that gets more sun than us over here. Thats why when i go on holiday and im sure im can speak for others - we try to get as brown as possible.

Knowing that your coming back to England doesnt really help.

I agree hun. Last year when I came back last year, everyone was asking me when I was going 8O This year, I have the sunbed before we go and I'll be using factor 4 coconut oil. I will not come back whiter than the people who have just landed

  Sam

Weve had this new one for a week and its better than the one we got it from last time. You only need to be on for about 15 - 20 mins.

Im still going to use factor 6 first few days and then go down to factor 2.

I know what you mean ;) but the sun screen does allow you to get tanned. If you use factor 2 it means that you need twice as normal to get burnt. If you use factor 12 it means that you need 12 times than the normal to get burnt. Does it make sense 8O

I would definatly use the beds at home and get a good prebase tan. I have fairly dark skin and and I got alittle red in the bed so make sure you don't try to be a hero in the bed your first couple of times. Get a good base then go straight to Ibiza and hope you don't have to use the beds again till next year.
