Barca vs Chelsea

Barca never smashed up any dressing room. Don't believe everything the Daily Star says.. Or perhaps you're confusing Barca with the CFC boneheads who routinely trash the Ramblas every year or so

Whatever, I really can't be asked to enter into it with you again. You just seem to be one of those people without any humilty and just generally argumentative about anything and everything.

Good luck with that by the way. I'll just have to wait for some genuine banter I guess.

P. S. - Manchester United will destroy Barcelona. And any Englishman who does not back their country's best representative against a Spainish team... :spank:

Man Utd are an American team aren't they???

Before that they were owned by the Irish

Barcelona are owned by the fans........

Hola
I'm still voiceless from weds. :D

The referee was AWFULL for both teams, Barça didn't play as we are used to see them playing and Chelsea game was, once again, meany and horrible, but if you are happy with it... My honest opinion is that every team is entitled to play the game it wants but I can understand being so defensive in small teams with short budgets. But when you are supposed to be one of the big ones with a huge budget then in my opinion is a bit... whatever you know what I mean. And I think, and don't missundersetand me, that Hiddkins got what he deserved: 10 players and changing Drogba for a defender?

I'm sorry for you guys but this is football and actually it's funny to read some opinions which made me think of the old times of Mourinho suggesting Messi going to the theatre.
BTW, what's up with Drogba? Isn't the Premier Ship all about fair play and being a gentleman? And the referee with death menaces?

Bless ya Silv, some points if I may....

Good glad some of you realise it.

We generally play defensive and counter attack against you, lets be honest your attack is marvellous and only an idiot will go toe to toe with you so what's with the surprise from some quarters??? In the away leg we didn't have our normal left back and we sold our replacement in the transfer window plus your pitch is about 3 times as wide as ours (that's an exaggeration). So we were perfectly within our rights to play as we did.
10 players and changing Drogba for a defender?
He was limping like a goon and who should we have brought on in his stead, Kalou or DiSanto???:lol::lol: TBH Although I love em both they weren't right for a game of that magnitude, plus Beletti plays more midfield than right back for us now and has scored a couple of screamers in his time with us, as well as scoring for us when he was playing for you of course, so why not.:lol:
And the referee with death menaces?
I've got the feeling this is just the media whipping it up out of all proportion, doubt they recieved any real death threats at all. Although maybe things were said on the internet in the heat of the moment, I felt like killing him at the final whistle if I'm honest. The same thing happened with Anders Frisk and think they just copy/pasted the story really. (Remember the Frisk episode turned out to be some teenagers from Finland or somewhere, and Chelsea have always said such things if proved would be dealt with).

the substitution of Drogba was an intelligent move
going further they should have put Mikel on to hold the game - Essien was out on his feet

On Drogba tho
something i heard pointed out

he limps off
comes back on and is helped off the park as he is subbed

yet at the final whistle he is rampaging around to get to the ref?

i think Chelsea fans have every right to question his "injury" and his commitment to actually playing for the team

Maybe uncomfortable shoes??? He was wearing flip flops when he came on afterwards hardly something you could run around and kick a ball in. (remember there was no sand on the pitch this time so beach football was out). TBH it needed to be said and I'm proud of him, let them throw the book at him the fans won't care anymore. Just want Blatter and Platini to apologise to that little kid for appointing that joke of a ref.:cry::cry:

It's not like Chelsea Barca haven't got previous in the ref stakes.

Can the ref factor in his perception of a player when making a decision & likelyhood that they dived?

I reckon - so Drogba needs to have a word with himself. And a pointed out in the Metro this morning (my bible) most of those tense last minutes were due to him flouncing about on the floor.

It keeps gettign worse for the Chelsea fans.

Apparently a few SatNavs are going wonky in west London. Reports of people driving down the Kings road only to be told by their Tom Tom they're a minute outside of Rome

dan, it's almost like you've taken liam's joke and made it unfunny

I'm not surprised by Mat Collins posts. Pretty much the same views as Tim Lovejoy on 606 and Hawksbee (or Jacobs?) on Talksport.

I do understand their frustration. They are all now dismissing Barca saying the prematch hype about us being great was rubbish and we were shown up etc etc.

I dont know if thats because they thought we were going to win 10-0 on aggregate or something. Everyone in Barcelona was saying this was going to be a very tight match.

The fact is Chelsea are probably one of the best defensive sides in the world, and even more so if they more or less decide to give up on attacking play.

They played to their strengths and it nearly worked out, on another day Iniesta's shot might have ended up sky high and they woudlve gone through. But it didnt, he kept his cool and succeeded where Drogba failed.

Yes and the ownership of a company who facilitate the running of a football club define the nationality of it...

Le dickhead.

Don't get me wrong, Iniesta's goal was sublime and you did deserve to score at some point...

I have absolutely no problem with any real supporters of Barcelona. More than anything, it's to do with the fact that your president and Cruyff prattle on about how you play the beautiful game etc compared to us. Does that include the shirt pulling, fouling in the penalty box and handballs then??? If they are willing to accept the result from THAT game, they are no better or worse than any other team, that's all.

I was actually thinking during the game how well your manager was composing himself and was amused by the mutual love between him and Hiddink at one point so fair play to him and quite a few of your players did you proud, some however didn't.

Also I have no problems going out to anyone in a fair game & I even took the 'ghost goal' and rued the fact Drogba didn't connect with Gudjohnson's cross in the dying seconds in that game, I also took it when you knocked us out in extra time due to a free kicks unbelieveable deflection off Babayaro in our wall. I also took it fairly on the chin when you knocked us out in 2006, but this???

It was a total farce of a football match. But now we've still got the FA cup to look forward to and it's the only cup competition I'll ever give a **** about from now on... :D:D:D

(that and the carling cup):lol::lol:

What Kind of Statement is that???

The Football Club is owned by the company. Facilitating is part of ownership.

So if the American owners want to relocate to America, it becomes American???
