Mega bal-earworm over the weekend, the unexpected kind where it just comes out of nowhere. That irresistible nagging piano. Italian magic. This sounds like an edit where he's looped the piano but I think he's turned it into something pretty special.

Templehead still sounds amazing. First time I heard that was in 93 at our student union. The DJ used to play it as a 'bridge' between the rock/indie and dance parts of the night. Was unlike anything I'd heard before. Impossible to define. Felt like the most Weatherall thing he never had a hand in. Some weird meeting of Primal Scream, UK hiphop and African tribes. Mad mental genius. I even bought the album cassette at Our Price but it was only that track I liked. Then I forgot about it for 20 years until I found out on blogs it was a certified bally classic.

Probably the Stones least Stones record but no less magical. Later co-opted by Kasper Bjorke in another beautiful track, which isn’t too obviously derivative
