Are women really under any more pressure than men?

Getting very philosophical here but what right and wrong is (in terms of culture and morals) is only an opinion of the majority so one day when we get out numbered by the young (bearing in mind that the 'young generation culture' remains the same) we will be the ones that are wrong. So what is really right or wrong.

Unless you are religious of course, then GOD is only correct.

Yours Sincerely,

The Devil's advocate

No mate, that's a fair point and I can't disagree.

(Even though I'm itching too but can't muster a decent reply )

Madonna and George Michael

You could argue that this was made for an adult audience. (tenuous I know but it was banned and her book at the time was sealed and clearly labelled adults only)

It wasn't littered with $hit vocoders, kiddy sounding production and mass marketed tripe.

You don't think Rihanna's aimed at teens upwards? (Not her fault if the little sisters catch on too.)

Madonna isn't mass marketed tripe (or at least went that way long ago)? I suspect her Justify My Love video is still a bit stronger than MTV during the day and vocoders weren't in fashion back then. ;) And that's hardly the only time she's courted controversy.

Umm some interesting views on this topic!
Il add my forpenneth!

We have lived for many many years in male dominated societies whereby women have not been honoured as equal citizens and instead suffered much suppression, abuse and trauma
Unfortunately this is ongoing still in many parts of the world
In the West, Feminism made this big uprise to try and assure equality but it was mostly done with the approach of women having to become like men just to become equal
This has still lead to division

Ultimately there is a masculine & feminine aspect within each of us regardless of whether we are male or female ~ and true intergration, connection and working together as equals in harmonious relating shall come about when the masculine & feminine within are both honoured, celebrated and embraced ~ coz what occurrs on the inner we then extend to others :)

You are Robder and I claim my £5.

This is true, though. For women to get ahead, they have to behave like men. Margaret Thatcher, I rest my case. Many 'equality' issues centre around career/money/business, stuff that society would be better to lose it's obssession with. The nurturing, mothering role is looked down on.

Lol I'm not Robder! But we are all one!
I am a yogini with a love of tantric teachings :) and within that there is alot of nectar regarding the masculine & feminine!

It's a big fat No to women being like Thatcher, oh dear, no thanks
Nurturing and mothering and creating does reside in the feminine ~ Ma Shakti is the primal force of our universe and every man and woman is born of woman so the passage into life thru the feminine :) tho the feminine resides within the male too so he also has his role of nurturing, mothering and creating to also fulfil :)

Harmony within creates harmony on the outer
And instead of looking for differences and creating division we could better focus on the beauty of relating, connecting and honouring one another = happy days for all:)
