Are there alot of Americans in Ibiza?

Never mind if Ibiza's over run with American's.

The whole World is over run with them and there's no escaping the fact that even if one were rich enough to live up in Space the chances are that your nearest neighbour would probably also be a US Cosmonaut

We are the plague, spreading hedonistic ideals and pop culture garbage ruining the modern world.

No kidding though, my expierence is the UK/I expat community is 10x bigger.

Ahem,

Most Americans earn so little that they cannot afford to go to Ibiza in their lifetimes.

The group that would be most interested in partying till 6am is also most likely the group that earns less than 30 thousand a year. This doesn't leave much room to spend 4 to 5 thousand (least expensive) for a week when you can go somewhere in America for a fraction of the cost.

Most of the jobs that pay under 100K a year have this vacation schedule:

one week after one year
two weeks after two years
three weeks after 5 years

That is our work ethic or you could call it corporate greed. It ain't easy to be middle class in America.

I get 7 weeks a year but work 7 day a week in a combat zone so I don't count.

As far as Americans in Ibiza, I'm no expert...but who wants to go to a foreign land to hang out and meet people you know.

I certainly would prefer exotic and strange to just strange....you figure it out.

anybody coming from boston? ;)

i'm no americano but been here for little over 4 years.

i'll be there 10-18 of august.

this will be my fifth trip to Ibiza in September....

telling people i'm going to Ibiza...

1st trip in 1996.... they all say where???
1999 - hey i think i've heard of that place!!!
2003 - that should be a blast!
2007 - by now pretty much everyone knows what its about...

i can't remember meeting too many fellow Americans myself to be honest.... when people hear we are from LA they do seem to find that very cool/interesting...

I don't think it will be any different for an American to an English or French or wherever they are from going for the the first time to Ibiza. A lot of English there aswell!
Im going in just over a fortnights time (first time!) and I believe it will surpass my expectations and that I am counting the days!

Be interest to see the figures from the last couple of years. If Guetta's as big in the States as it seems, Americans maybe coming for all these VIP, bottle service type affairs that are the norm there.

Mot all Americans are into Gutter. The VIP and bottle service is taking the Fun(ky) out of house. When you need $500 for a table8O

'Course not all. But as someone up the thread said, most Americans wouldn't know anything about Ibiza. Guetta and his collaborations with have put a pin in the map.

i can understand that but if u love ibiza and partying, then how can u not like vegas?? even if u dont party, vegas is unlike anywhere else in the world, def. worth a visit.

Vegas and Ibiza are not remotely similar. Or weren't, at least, perhaps there's more of Vegas-a-like VIP/bottle service clubbing creeping into Ibiza now as discussed.

I love Vegas, had two amazing week long trips there, but at no point did it ever cross mind as similar to Ibiza. They are just different ends of a spectrum so broad they are almost not related.
