Has anyone read/opinions please on the new Women's glossy weekly - Look.

My New Years resolution was to stop buying Heat cos it was just full of BB and celebrity TV muppets and 'skinny celebs vs fat celebs' so now I only buy Grazia weekly but I don't feel I'm getting my full weekly magazine fix

Saw there is a new weekly out called Look which I picked up today, only had a quick skim thru it on the tube but the fashion pages look pretty good but not read any of the articles. Anyone tried it yet?? Is it a worthy substitue to Heat??

Good Afternoon Barbara.

I read this mag last week and I liked it. It's like a downmarket version of Grazia with more affordable clothes for the likes of me. Some celeb stuff, but more about what they're wearing than the latest on Pete/Nikki/Cherry.

Afternoon Gollum

It will probably suit us if it's a downmarket Grazia  I do like Grazia but some of the clothes are far too ladieeeeee-like and silly priced for Top Shop gals like me

I'm not that keen on Grazia. Last time I read it there was too much stuff about botox and plastic surgery and careers and serious issues.

Look is good coz you don't waste half the pages on TV listings when you get those with the News of the World anyway.

I like some of the celeb stuff and clothes in Grazia but then sometimes they talk about having babies and £500 face creams - neither of which are on my radar

Ooh I think I'm going to become a Look girl then

You might think it goes too far downmarket, but give it a go.

I saw this advertised today, it was half price for a week or something was tempted to buy it.

I have to say I still bought Heat today but as its still going on about Big Bro am debating whether to keep buying it. Plus I saw some really nice stuff in it but then that means EVERYONE is going to be wearing it.

I have to say I quite like Company to read. Can be quite good some months.

That's why I stopped buying Heat, all it it was ever full of was Big Brother that I don't watch it or skinny/fat celebs :spank:

I really like Company too (my mum subscribes me it every year), however I was talking to a friend about mags the other week and when I said that I'm partial to a bit of Company she started laughing and saying I'm past their target age group

I bought this and Grazia this morning..... its ok actually, not as crap as Heat, Star, etc but still loving Grazia - My NY resolution was the same, but figured as I wasnt spending £6 a day on cigs that I could afford to "splurge".....

She told me it was for up to 25s and at 31 I'm way past it   I don't find it young at all tho, I like the articles and I really like their fashion pages cos they're not stupidly expensive like some mags

Exactly, some of the stuff in there is not stuff that young wannabees or teenagers would wear, or the type of shops they would go to. I think my sister just likes it for the pics (shes hoping to be a photographer) so I often find my magazines with pictures cut out of them

Phew I was quite worried before that I might have to cancel my Company subscription but I'm going to carry on reading it with pride now
