Thanks to the "previous Space layout" thread I think it's about time to start the detailed planning process for the annual visit.
Some advice then please on how to handle both Space and Amnesia closings. The only constraint is to fit in some daylight action in both locations.
The way I see it there are 3 options;
1) "The spacious". Amnesia 3am to 8am, Space 6pm til late. Pros - will have room to move in Amnesia before it gets rammed (if last year is anything to go by). Cons - if it isn't too rammed no doubt will be tempted to stay but a 3am start will put Space in jeopardy thanks to my aging disco legs.
2) "The maximiser". Amnesia 1am to 4am, quick disco nap, Amnesia 10am til close then straight to Space til late. Pros - Maximises clubbing time, Won't feel too bad making a fleeting visit to Amnesia in the am if its rammed. Cons - Lack of self discipline to leave at 4am, Don't think you get a passout so will have to pay twice.
3) "The daytime raver". Amnesia 7am til close, go straight to Space till late after a quick freshen up. Pros - Maximises daytime clubbing Cons - If Amnesia is rammed might struggle to get in, and it might be unbearable.
I guess the answer really depends on how rammed Amnesia will be this year. The fact its back to back with Space should naturally thin the maddening crowd a little won't it? So "the daytime raver" is the current favourite, what do the closing party vets reckon?
One thing is for sure, whichever plan I go for it will no doubt go completely out of the window as soon as the first vodka limon hits the gullet.
Another thing is for sure, I think I need to cancel that Ushuaia booking given recent events.
