according to today's newspaper, matutes' 'plan de excelencia' for playa d'en bossa is not a priority for them anymore. as lots of people are opposing to his idea (the mall, the golf course etc) and they didn't get any further in two years, they've decided to put that plan on hold and invest the money that was set aside for the playa d'en bossa plan in projects in the caribbean, where they're building a place with 3000 suites in playa mujeres (near cancun). they're also on the lookout for a place to build the first ushuaïa in the caribbean. the article states they're still interested to do the playa d'en bossa developments, but it looks rather unlikely for now and so they move on.

finally some good news IMO.

on the other hand, the palladium group keeps on upgrading and the article also confirms that they want to turn a property in cala gracio into a super luxury hotel....
