ALL essential mixes 93-07

Ok Robder, you're right, I downloaded the farley and heller one.. outstanding!!

what else should i download... I need someone to give me the top 10! wish i had time and room to download them all!

I don't have a very slow computer, but for some reason it's taking forever!

top 5/ 10 anyone?

It is rapidshare after all about $4 a month or something8)

Paid for 1 month in about 30 seconds with paypal, the difference in dowload times is  Well worth the €6 for all these !! 8)

Yet to listen to the F&H 1993, but while i was there I did download some off their late stuff also. I could do with some tips also, there are so many  Please advise peeps  :!: :!: :!:

I did download the Tony De Vit 1995 8) And Carl Cox St Petersburgh

But now ive got the subscription i want more

Carl Cox/Pete Tong at Space in 2000 is OK but on the whole it's lots of annoying crowd noises and Judge Jules!

There were also a couple of gooduns from Pacha but the sound quality is shocking.

well obviously if jules is involved!!:lol:

funny you mention the august space bash, i was working in ibiza that summer, that was my send off before i had to go home and sort out my life (post a-levels).

can remember every moment of that day like it was yesterday, half way through some bloke screams down the mic, i can remember him climbing up on the terrace to reach the mic that was hanging from the mesh.......

coxy played for 6 hours. happy days8)8)8)

meryl - just for you. arguably i think you should listen to all of 94-96, but here are a few good ones. i think the best thing to do is look through and see where your fav DJs are, that's what i did when i downloaded all these a couple of years ago, wasn't dissapointed.

also remember that the likes of morillo 96-01 are nothing like now, quality house music, his are some of the best mixes for easy listening to. and you cn't go wrong with carl cox, who appears more than anyone else i think, even tongy

1994
3. 1994-01-15 - Sasha (121:32) - this is a seminal mix
53. 1994.12.18 - Essential Mix - Paul Oakenfold (Part 1) - the fabled Goa mix
54. 1994.12.18 - Essential Mix - Paul Oakenfold (Part 2)

1995
10. 1995.03.05 - Chemical Brothers (117:57)

14. Essential Mix - Daft Punk EM 1997-03-02 (117:36)
61. 1997.11.16 - Essential Mix - Basement Jaxx - when they had the funk!

2000
11. Sasha - Essential Mix (02-27-2000) (119:53)
53. 2000.08.13 - Essential mix - Pete Tong & Carl Cox - classic space terrace as was

5. X-Press 2 - Essential Mix 2001-01-28 (120:01)
45. 2001.09.16 - Essential Mix - Victor calderone - pure tribal

I concur with most of those choices mate. The Daft Punk one was the first one i stayed up late to tape as it goes.

Yup I was there too - great day!...and great year. 8)

Oh the days!

I'll post some of my faves later when I'm next to my home machine.

A few humble suggestions of my own:

1995.09.17 - Paul Oakenfold - live for Cream at Ku, if you like the Goa mix you'll love this
Agree with the previous Daft Punk recommendation - class
1999.05.16 - John Digweed - great stuff from when he starting copying Tenaglia, no bad thing at the time
1999.07.04 - Sharp Boys - a constant in the tape deck one Ibiza holiday
1999.07.18 - Carl Cox and Sven Vath - Love Parade action
2000.01.16 - Dave Clarke - the Baron of Techno

btw - meryl,

i'm listening to carl cox aug 15th and 22nd 1999, which was recorded at space on the terrace that year. absolutely rockin'! :) feel my drums - peace division!! class

paper hat for anyone who knows the significance of this set/broadcast?

i'm listening to coxy totally rock it and wondering the same. loved that brand of throbbin latin house/techno he played, almost especially for the terrace.

i know he was awesome and then just decided to throw out all of his good records and jump on what ever bandwagon was about at the time.

Gota say Steve Lawler EM from SW4 is fairly wack imo , not nearly as good as good as when ive seen him play. Love the DC10 mix , warts n all , mainly cos u can hear the crowd going bananas at every little thing
