I think this might be a Sven thing as I found this when I went to 528 last September. The crowd were awful IMO. Never had that at amnesia though.
 
Just to echo what Stivi said, im sorry you didnt have a good experience @fhmsparkle and I'm not questioning your honesty, just shocked because it's widely regarded that it was the party of summer and largely because of the crowd. This is even the consensus of employees of competitors who attended that day
 
Possibly related (possibly not) a general cultural observation is that Spanish crowds are a lot more comfortable with body contact than British ones. In my experience, people don't do the whole "excuse me" etiquette nearly as much. In Spain, if someone jogs your drink, people might tut but not make a big deal about it, whereas in England there might be a confrontation. Similarly, if you put your arm round someone, Brits generally find it a bit uncomfortable (or even creepy) whereas in Spain it's pretty normal, it's just a much more tactile culture overall. Maybe these stereotypes are getting blurred over time, but they do still sometimes explain misunderstandings.

Honestly, last night blew me away. I missed this night last season, so first dose of it since 2023.

For me the crowd make this night as much as Sven. Sorry to hear about your incident @villatom1987 but think was isolated. I just love that 99% people just there for nothing but the music and good time.

The Garden vibe is so unique, arrived about 20:30 and Sven was playing a version of this, which eased me in.


Only thing I will say, I wish they had those fans that let out some water mist. It gets damn out there if you’re not Spanish and used to it haha.

Akasha was as always a joy, and Sven was really enjoying it too. Was enjoying too much to Shazam much, but this beauty came on when I came up for air about 03:00. Classic Sven.


Not much more to add, I’m just a happy guy today.

I was obviously stood in the wrong area or something then 😂 My friend also said the same thing, it was awful. The point where I had some woman try and fight me (a Brit I might add) in the queue for the ladies was enough for me! Never ever had that experience in Ibiza before, or even in the UK or anywhere else in the world.

But anyway, this thread is for Akasha - which I will get to one day!

I really got what fhmsparkle was talking about. Even though Cocoon last September was one of the best parties, at times I got the feeling that too many people had bad dust in their lunch bags. Sometimes Circo Loco has a similar atmosphere, but it's mostly because of the Italian guys there. I don't remember ever encountering that at Akasha..

It was only a few people so as a percentage probably like 1% of the 300 or so in there, just appeared to be those who knew or at least think they knew Sven and tried to get closer to him so there was an entitlement mentality there.

Do want to reiterate for the 4 hours or so I was in there it was pretty much tune after tune and I absolutely can’t knock him at all.

Yeah the garden was brilliant, definitely appeared to be more Brits there this time than the previous 2 times I’ve been. Generally when you mention Akasha to people here they’ve no idea what it is or where it is.

It was really was only a few people, in contrast to that there was a man next to me pretty much the whole time I was there and saw him in the garden when I was leaving, said goodbye to one another even though we never spoke so just a few rude, obnoxious people but not enough to spoil a good night.

Yeah last night was superb, after being a little underwhelmed at the July date, we thought the crowd wasn’t quite right then, but great yesterday. We arrived just before Sven came on around 20:30 - anyone know what the skippy track was that was playing before he started? It put us right in the mood, started dancing straight away and and never stopped 😁
