A Plea for Help

the threadopener stated to be "stuck in iraq" -
so we discussed if he is "stuck" or not
as a CIVILIAN he is not some poor army-guy-cannon-fodder
who has to go wherever the army wants him to go.
he went to iraq on his own free will -
last but not least because some companies pay loads of cash
for those who are willing to take the risk to go to conflict/war-areas.
probably he is a good guy .... something like a mother teresa on $

I in fact can leave any time.
The problem is the taxes. I would have to stay out of the states to complete the year or pay about $40K in Taxes. Sadly, that seems like a lot and I would rather wait until the regime has changed and the econmy is a bit better. I'm planning on buying a 41 foot catamaran so if it gets much worse I'll wait for the price to drop even further.
Any sailors in the lot? (or more importantly ..women of the sea? Not mermaids though...all mermaids can go blow...i hate flippers on my women).
