I couldn't agree more, I love Pacha but the layout could be so much better than it is, i'm pleased to hear that, a shame it gonna take so long though! 8)

Then we've built a hydraulic DJ booth as well on the other side of the room.
So the DJ can either play on the ground level, like Luci likes to play,
or you can go 3 meters up or anywhere in between.

And you can actually go up during the night.
So if you start the night low down,
as the night gets bigger,
you can actually take the booth higher.

The booth's also surrounded by LED-screens, so that's gonna be a real difference
for people and I think we're probably the first ones to actually have a hydraulic DJ booth.

The other DJ booth you all know is still there and we've just made it very flexible.
So it can still be used as a DJ booth, it can be used as a VIP area and it can also be
another stage, if people want to sing from there.

Basically we've made the club very flexible
and I think that's the secret to any good nightclub.



Tiësto's probably going to play from the new DJ booth,
2 meters above with the LED's full on
while Luciano will probably use the same booth,
but down on the ground with no LED's,
but all his mates in the booth ... :twisted:

which seperated the room from the main room, this is now opened up,

really good idea with the glass.
know quite a lot people who go to pacha since 10, 15 years
or longer, but never ever to the funkyroom -
because they didn´t find it or didn´t even knew it existed at all :twisted:

So to make a nightclub flexible and dj booth adjustable to suit the DJs wishes and style is ridiculous ? Well you obviously have no idea what it's like to run a club in ibiza for 120 nights in a run and try and give the customers something different and the club a different feel every night.

Well said Danny! I think we all start with the "OMG don't change it", but the more I think about this the better it's sounds. For some acts the old Pacha booth isn't the best. And as you said Luciano loves playing at head-level. Really looking forward to that, I think it will really make the atmosphere at those parties even better.

Can we have some "exclusive" pics Danny, or work not yet completed?

there isn't a lot to see yet regarding the new booth, but i got an idea how it will look like the other day and it's most definitely a huge improvement compared to the old booth.

the funky room looks great!!!

Cool. What would be good would be if the main floor spreads out more in front of the new DJ booth. I'm not having an anti-VIP rant, but as the DJ is now more in the centre then the dancefloor can spread out more and have the VIP more around it.....
 
the major problem i felt pacha had was that people who wanted to get from one side of the club to the other did so by going straight through the middle of the dancefloor in front of the dj booth which obviously caused sardine carnage. hopefully these changes mean this doesn't happen as much any more. too me it sounds like all of these changes are going to make clubbing at pacha so much more enjoyable so im excited !
 
I love Pacha... It's such a beautiful club... But I've not been for about two years.
Will I get to see the changes when Im there at end of April?
 
Sounds like some promising changes, innovation is being used well and it will keep things fresh and interesting, trying new things is what life is all about! The hydraulic stage sounds a great idea that it can go completely underground and open up alot more space for dancing. Cant wait to get in there many weeks during the summer!
 
So the new dj booth is where exacly?

And on talk of going to the other side of the club, i always go through the "R&B" room up the stairs, through the outside terrace and then back down where you come up above where the current dj booth is
