___ Monza 2010 ___

taken from i-v :

'' Monza had a little pre-summer affair with Blu, and if rumours are to be believed then it may be the last we hear from them for a while. Falling foul at the first hurdle, Cova Santa won't even opening this year leaving the promoters sadly stranded less than a week before the flag goes up on summer. ''

:eek: ... :?::?::?:

Damn what the hell?? Any more deets???

unfortunately i-v was right ... according to the official site :

Cancelation of venue Cova Santa 2010!!

Dear people,
unfortuntely our venue Cova Santa get canceled last week!
In the next days will follow a official statement to that matter...we are really sad and shocked out it!

:!::!::!:

a pity, really :-(
but not surprised in a way...cova santa never got things running in the past!

Huge terrace area, little half open disco tent ... they will make it work buddy, and let's not forget that cova santa is related to the amnesia group so if it doesn't work, chances are that they 'll move to amnesia, like what's up did 2 or 3 years ago

Well - hindsight is a beautiful thing Johnny?? haha.

Monza at Amnesia when popstars shutdown mid july ?
johnny and his prections!!

Lets take a pause and see what really happened over the last party marathon
and what's on the horizon for the season to come.

First up though....what's NOT on the horizon.
Monza for a start.
The news came in just before kick-off that Amnesia had got cold feet
about the whole project and have decided not to open Cova Santa.
Not for Monza and not for anyone.
Our love, respect and pity goes out for the island-based German hailing crew,
who must surely be even more gutted than the rest of us.
It would have been a magical summer for them in that venue,
and although many reasons are cited for the decision it seems the real reason
comes down to certain governmental pressures and seemingly unfounded concerns
over the type and size of crowd the party might attract to what it still
a legally smudgy location.
A case of rivals poking their oars in?
Or a Consell simply threatening actions that it simply doesn't have the power
to enforce anyway?

San Jose authorities might claim to be cracking down this year
on the influx of wayward venues in their area,
but it didn't stop (yet) Ushuaia from overwhelming Bossa beach,
or from the Circo Loco crew carrying on well into the early hours
with both rooms ablazing.

Would it have anything to do with a certain major player launching their own
high cost night on a Thursday this year and not welcoming the competition?
Or maybe they just want to keep a tight rein on their neighbours...
ViCe couldn't possibly comment, but please feel free to gossip on our behalf ...
