Members of the National Police carried out two raids last weekend, one in a bar, the other in an “after-hoursâ€, and have issued six charges against people for consuming drugs. In the after-hours in Avenida San José in Ibiza Town, five people were charged for having cocaine and one with Ecstasy tablets. When other customers were made aware of the Police presence, they threw away the drugs in their possession. In a separate incident, the Public Safety Brigade raided a bar in ses Figures in Talamanca in the early hours of the morning, where 89 customers were registered and several small quantities of drugs confiscated.
This forms part of a national campaign to try and stop the use of drugs in public places, with officers targeting the consumers as well as the owners of the premises who permit it.

So why are they charging people for having drugs for personal use if its not illegal???

And another question, the "new" after hours law, is regulating the times when you can play music from an eletronic device or something like that right.?.
So after hours without music is legal?

It doesn't say how much they had so maybe it was enough for them to be considered to be dealing? Not sure..
Either way, I can just imagine all the drugs on the floor after the police came in
This has been bugging me for a while now....
Do people not see the link between threads like this existing and the tightening up/'raids'/closures of after hours parties?
IMO, delete the thread and stop giving the powers that be the chance to keep track on where/what is going on throughout the island.
Keeping a record of all the goings-on and locations of the various afters cannot be good for the chances of these 'illegal' gatherings taking place in the future.

You really don't like facebook do you....it's becoming a bit boring though, constantly reading your negativity.
If a party wants to use it (fb) as a promo tool thats obviously their call (and i would guess that most don't use it for promoting afters), however, this site/forum and other lesser ones are contributing to the lack of afters by giving them all this bandwidth/unnecessary profile.
I realise some people want to proper schedule their whole trip to Ibiza, down to the time spent between parties and how many beans they're gonna neck at which venues....it would be good if people saw the bigger picture though....

you have to do the groundwork here.
its common knowledge the cops read these forums to find out what's happening.
