well im ntaking £800 worth in euros/travellers cheques. plus my debit card for back up.

so £400-£500, maybe? its up to u, maybe considerbly less or more, its up to you.
i have a friend who went for ten days last year in early June who took £400 for 10 days, so im sure you'll be ok.
