And you drew a parallel between a play on words (tenor/tenner) in a thread about one person, a famous person none of us have any connection with and the possibility of someone being disrespectful about a the deaths of thousands in a shocking terrorist incident, with which people here have stated a connection.

It's got nothing to do with respect Jonny. The tenor/tenner joke is a play on words. The operative element of joke is the ambiguity of language not the death of Pavarotti.

When everyone else thinks you are wrong it's not necessarily an anti-Celtic/Man U/Bohemians/Irish conspiracy.

If coming up with a behavioural code and sticking to gives you a sense of self-worth, that's up to you, but expecting others to live by it and describing as 'respect' is unreasonable.

you've conveniently ignored my point as none of the individuals who'd questioned your 'demand for respect' has ever given a hint that they lack it.

in fact, to show your double standards, you challenged someone else in another thread when they made a comment that didn't contribute to the thread topic.........using that logic, your demand for respect earlier is equally as useless. Otherwise, you'd need to do it in every thread, just in case someone was thinking of bad mouthing someone else's choice of lunch for example.
 
respect is earned in my book, so until you start earning it then expect "the usual suspects" to pepper your ridiculous and pointless threads with the derision that they deserve.

and before you get all "robert de niro" on me about my lack of "respect" this is in no way a slaint on the original theme. Although I did wonder why you felt the need to post it, evetybody is painfully aware of the date and of it's significance.

There...I went off theme but brought it back.....respecfully I hope??
