sandi, did u see the northern lights (aurora borealis :!: ), i'd love to see them in action.

I went to Iceland a few years ago and saw the Northern Lights, amazing :D Thought Iceland was a funny old place tho, haven't they got the highest suicide rate in the world which would explain a lot.

why is that though.......is something to do with being isolated in the middle of nowhere and 6 months of days and then 6 months of nights  ??

I think it's a bit to do with that and it's just so remote, you land at the airport and you think you've landed on the moon, there's literally nothing for miles and miles and you feel so isolated.

Also, the fact that a glass of wine is about £10 might be pushing them over the edge as well 8O

what on earth were you doing in a place that charged that amount for wine? Were you not tempted to leave straight away?

None of the above.

The reduced amount of sunlight you get in far northern regions is known to cause a chemical imbalance in the brain which makes one more prone to depression and therefore suicide.

pushing them over the edge.........hmmmmmmmm......me thinks this not be suicide but murder!! murder me thinks

at £10 a pop for a drink though, sounds like they'd be right at home in pacha or space

I don't think Iceland actually rates that high in suicides. In some polls quite the opposite, ie. the happiest people in the world.

1) that whole nocturnal thing, 'creatures of the night' etc
2) i hate it when they fly past you and its like they're swooping at you
3) they always seem to talk whenever they appear in films and thus i think all owls can talk
4) they always look at me strange and its as though they're saying "i could just swoop and eat your head if i wanted to" and i'm like "ok Mr.owl, whatever you say 8O 8O "

So what your saying is that the owl talks to you and you talk back 8O

Whats so freaky about an owl?? do you think all animals are freaky?? :?

i quite like animals, cats are cool (just don't like ones that seem to be possessed), however there is somethin deeply suspicious about owls.
