my point is - and we are going around in circles here - people have their heydays and then they decline - it happens to EVERYONE (except grace jones and hugh hefner) and to bring this back to the original thread, a mentally fcked up 50 year old without a significant contribution to music in 20+ years is simply NOT going to deliver the notes or the moves any more. That isn't a statement of cool - that is a simple anthropological observation.

Anthropological? :lol: it's hardly anthropological is it? It's recent pop music we're talking about here.

Music is to be enjoyed, it's entertainment. especially live music. Even if MJ is a car crash live, it'll be the most entertaining car crash ever.

But i take on board that when he spins his white ass, he'll probably break a bone, given his age. But then again, he does sleep in a oxygen tent....(with a monkey)....so you never know..
 
A quote I read this morning -

In Victorian times people used to pay to go and see Joseph Merrick, The Elephant Man on display in a shop in Mile End.

Now, just up the road people will be paying to watch someone equally freakish who was once rumoured to have tried to buy Merrick's remains.


Nothing's changed much really has it!
