*** Police at Amnesia (right now) ***

That sounds very dramatic

'According to eyewitnesses, the agents of the UCO film made a landing at around 8.00 pm aboard a helicopter, which went down with balaclavas and guns in hand. Also they came overland with anti-drug police dogs.'

The owner of Amnesia, Martin Ferrer, has been arrested along with three others ...

... The agents have reached the establishment, on the seven o'clock,
from outside the island aboard a helicopter ...

... Apparently, the operation of the Civil Guard and the Tax Agency, in which twenty people involved,
it relates to an investigation of a fiscal nature, although no official confirmation ...

with drug dogs?

this is huge. first time I heard about something like this against a major island player. I guess some island people are having a nervous look through their taxes today

Interesting. Going to be some nervous people around.

Sniffer dogs can be used for cash not just drugs. Wouldn't be surprised if they were looking for both potentially though ?!

The UCO takes the assault Amnesia Ibiza
Spectacular anti-drug operation with the UCO at the club Amnesia Ibiza culminating in the arrest of the owner of the nightclub

Several agents of the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard have erupted around 7 pm on Tuesday, July 5th at the club Amnesia Ibiza as the end of the famous festival Cocoon held and has resulted in the arrests of Martin Ferrer, owner Amnesia, and his son Martin.

A spectacular operation that seemed straight out of the most exciting action movie, with agents of the UCO down to the disco from a helicopter with shoes balaclava, brandishing weapons and accompanied by drug dogs.

Dozens of officers have made a record of the club in an operation that seems directed from Madrid. In the course of the operation he has arrested the owner of Amnesia Ibiza, Martin Ferrer and his son Martin. There are two other detainees who could be the accountant responsible club and a disco.

They are being carried out also records in several homes, boats, safety deposit boxes in banks and a company of Ibiza town.

Arrests and all operational appear framed in an operation that takes place in various locations in Spain and is not yet clear whether part of an anti-drug operation or a tax plot, as there are agents investigating Hacienda.

The face (and body) that he must have been more than one to see down to the agents inside the enclosure ...
The truth is that not the perfect ending to a night ...

We keep reporting ...

Surely it must be tax rather than drugs?? I can't imagine loads of drugs being held or sold there, surely most drug sales happen in the resorts before punters even go to the clubs?
Bad bad news whatever it is, imagine no space and amnesia next year

Word on street is amnesia is closed tonight. Nothing official yet, although the together pr's for amnesia have been sent home from work just now.

To go in that heavy handed leads me to assume several things:

1) they are confident of finding what they are looking for.
2) they are setting an example to everyone else.

Authorities were obviously gunning for them since the end of last season. Could this be connected to the opening times? Chances are Amnesia's stance certainly did them no favours.
