there are some pretty cool rumours around regarding daytime parties. not just guy gerber's rumours at plan be, but also other ones. i think we're off to a cool summer :)
Any chance some of these daytime parties will be going on as late into the season as last week of sept stivi? Would loved to of been at diynamic at cova santa but this is only july and august. Luciano closes 10th sept. Hoping for some decent daytime action when im there week of 22nd sept

Plan Be will still be going, Zoo Project Closing, and I'm sure Destino will still have 1 or 2 things on as well.

Like you, I'm heading over in September and would have loved to have caught Diynamic at Cova Santa.

september is normally a great time to catch afterparties so I wouldn't worry too much. as RtB says, a few of those outdoor party series will still be going and on the other hand it's closing party time which also means afterhours :)

How is it going regarding entrance to those afterparties? Tickets, guestlist, free admission?

It seems to me since the whole 'definitely no more day time party' stance of 08/09 things are loosening up a lot and as more promoters have pushed boundaries they've been let to carry on on the whole.
Is that the feeling for the residents stivi? Are locals not happy it's creeping in again? Or is it because it's not 24 hours(mostly) it's being turned a blind eye to?
Wish I was there to see more :( lol

This post really interests me, is there a chance based on the emergence of more and more daytime parties that we could ever see Clubs like Space return to the 23 hour parties of old. I notice for we love they are in some small way edging back by doing their stripped back terrace thing.

i honestly don't think we'll see the clubs being allowed to open at 8am again in the forseeable future. too clear has the change been, in a positive way, with less traffic accidents, deaths etc since they changed the law at the start of 2008.

but already since two years roughly (at least that's my feeling), people (politicians and the police) are more relaxed about it again. this means if you do an afterparty somewhere, if you don't start too early, if it's not in the middle of an area where people (residents, not tourists) live and if you're a bit sensible about it, you normally don't get into trouble.

I suppose the reason I feel so passionately about this is I went to Ibiza in 2007, stayed in San But ended up getting a taxi on my own and going to Space alone in the morning. It was amazing and it inspired me to come back to the island with my missus. We came for 3 days and we ended up smashing it ,missing our flight back and catching a flight back after 5 days. Simce then no matter what we do or where we go during the year we make sure a trip to Ibiza happens. Now after my 6th and her 5th trip, this year we are going with her sister and I hope she too will see the beauty and magic of the island and become hooked on Ibiza.

Space has unfortunately never been on par with the 1st time, but so many more other places have and we've shared those together.

Sure the island is becoming more and more commercialised and things may have changed but I hope in 5 years time I still visit Ibiza, hopefully with a toddler on my shoulders in Bora Bora,DC10 if I'm lucky or somewhere else new maybe!!

can't share this Hype about cocoon after at destino last year. nice spot, yes, but the posh surroundings didn't fit the cocoon Spirit of old not one bit. hell, they had a roped off vip - area right next to the Dancefloor at an after!

cocoon closing after at sal rossa in 2012 was a whole different affair - now THAT was Magic!!

Has la sal rossa now changed completely so no afters will be held there? Eg the get flashed parties that ilario alicante etc was running last year

Did I just read here that sal rossa changed owners and is now under a different name? Would that mean no cocoon afters or any other parties there? Went there last year and it was good, not that lot of people there considering that the same dj´s were playing as on cocoon monday, but the music was great and good people there, none of that vip shit.
