*** Zoo Project ***

someone might be able to clarify

but i think that the Zoo Project parties are bigger events
and the Channel Zoo ones are more "showcases" for collectives/labels/promoters etc

I haven't been to Saturday but I think from putting my experience to what people have also said ZP is a lot younger, more fancy dress and maybe kicks off a little earlier. CZ is a more mixed crowd less fancy dress, gets going a bit later and has more of that low key vibe. I love CZ awesome music and atmosphere :)

Interested in knowing more about this, can anyone elaborate on the difference between zoo project and channel zoo, anyone been to both? Etc
thinking of channel zoo as have a Wednesday free and my girlfriend is interested particularly.
Entry prices, drinks prices, music any good?
Thanks

imo i think the zoo is one of the most overated parties on the island, id rather save my money and go out at night rather than this daytime party, but if you havent been before just go for the experience. drink prices are steep in there...6 euro for a beer and 10 for a vodka sprite.

I love ZP!! Been on a wed but was a few years ago don't think there was a difference then but defo prefer the Sat. The atmosphere was banging in the pit, loads of fancy dress and men in paint(slaps face) but on the whole I was amazed that nearly everyone there was there for the music. Ryan Elliot was amazing when I went in June, can't recommend enough 8)
Even a few years ago I was advised Sat is better as it is busier, and I don't think it is that expensive. I ordered a bottle of beer in Amnesia that was 11e 8O I stuck to vodka in ZP, 10e yes however they were filling the cup up to half way or more that is a lot of vodka!
Go for it, and enjoy :)

At least 70% of people on a Sat are there to get hammered and dress up / face paint with little interest in the music.

I'd say Wednesday is better in terms of people going for the music.

I was speaking about my experience there recently on a Sat, and again the experience is limited to the seal pit. Was rocking all over the place even the vests were happy and dancing
Now you mention it though I would imagine now the season is in full flow there will be more nobs on a Sat and the Wed would be a more musicly enlightening experience. Wonder how many vests go on a Wed though, obviously the more vests the more it degrades the night for everyone not wearing or condoning vest wearing :D

I have also been on both a Weds and a Sat... IMO I think Weds are better as the crowd is mainly workers or those with a true passion for the artist/music whereas on a Saturday the place is swarmed with tourists and you'll have fancy dress outfits coming out of your ear (or at least the odd bit of glitter or paint rubbed onto your body)... it is also the busier of the two nights.

Wednesday's have a great line-up, we had DJ Sneak and Moodyman a few weeks back and then Fuse presents with Steffi etc there last week; It's just a more friendly, mature and music loving crowd on a Wednesday. However if you are only here on holiday and want to experience the 'proper' zoo daytime party then just prepare for a little bit less space in the seal pit (main DJ area) and embrace the fancy dress theme and release your inner animal lol. There are plenty of other areas such as the pool, tables, chill-out bits etc (and even a BBQ which is delicious) for you to escape to, have a drink and socialise throughout the day.

Wednesday tickets are around 25€ or you can get the boat party+transport+some free drinks+entrance to channel zoo for 60€

Saturday tickets are 35€ (I think) but this goes up by 10 or so euro's if you arrive after 7pm. - Check this info out beforehand as I am not 100% sure on prices.

Im going to The Zoo Project Festival in september. Sounds wicked, 3 days of camping and Raresh is playing >) Plus that i managed to pick up the zoo money which gave me a discount of 20 pounds from the final price , payed only 69 >) Who else is going ?

This is the kind of impression I had formed from having only ever been on the Wednesday and hearing others stories of Saturday. Also I think the atmos is better down on the flat rather than the 'seal pit'

Really ? I got my ticket with 40euros with that 20 pounds discount voucher. Is a really good price , i would say :) Not missing the Raresh and Cocoon performance , you should come along xx

its really cheap with a great lineup. compared with the likes of creamfields 3 day camping its less than half the price!

Yeah, £89 + booking fee is a steal really.

Not wanting to start the usual underground versus commercial debate, but not really comparable to Creamfields given the vast difference in the line-ups, but nevertheless, still a bargain!
