Gotta show me age now, a good old Moggy (Morris Minor 1000cc). It had a few teeth missing off first gear. Price? The princely sum of 17 quid and a packet of Embassy Regal 
Seriously!!! I was a bit skint at the time. 
Only had it for 4 weeks as I started roadying for a band (bass players dad took the gear in his builders van). It got a bit rediculous when there were 7 of us travelling in the Moggy. So, traded it in for a.................Bedford Dormabile van with sliding front doors! Well, it was the sixties, great hippy van. 8) You could drive around in the summer with the front doors slid right back, they probably wouldn't allow it now. 
Oh happy days............
