the n-joi anthem clip (and the other late 80's / early 90's are just so much better when you compare with anything the last 15+years.........im gutted i missed the boat...too bloody young 88-94:-(..i was 12 in 1990, i was going to the under events most friday nights...& it was a taste...but just not the same.

Yeah, that Quadrant Park atomos looks off the scale. I was old enough to have been able to attend and lived about a 30min drive away (including adjusting my seat and parking at my final destination) but I did not get there - gutted too.:cry:

The amnesia ones are great. A great mix of people, real balearic beat too, Bob marley and Pink Floyd getting an airing.The open air situation is So much better than just two cavernous rooms.

Ayr's answer to the Hacienda? :lol: I dunno, I never went either -would have been underage at the time and wasn't really into the music :)oops:) at the time, though a friend used to go. Didn't really know what he got out of it & now I do.

my pals older brothers all went, as did the 5th/6th years at my secondary...it was huge within our circle, at my school...total energy music...sadly i was too young to go, had to make do with the unders at the Hippodrome in kilmarnock on a friday night!! lol

i always remember a guy i know, who was 16 going to the hanger, someone asked him to sell jellies as a comedown afterwards, trouble was he got too crazy on pills, he ended up giving the jellies away to folk as he came out the club....said guys then turned up at school looking for him the following week with machetes looking for the money he owed!:)lol

It's actually really hard to imagine a place like that ever existed in Ayr given the clubbing options there now. :confused: I remember people saying there was a crazy club in Saltcoats or some place. Can't remember what it was called...
