Yesterday, was the worst day of my life....

PL I am so very sorry for your loss. I don't know what to say, everyone here has said it all. Think of the daftest or naughtiest things he did and I hope they bring a little smile.

Thanks so much for your words - it really does mean a lot to me. I think Benson became part of everyone lives who ever knew Phil and I in the last 16-17yrs (whether they wanted part of him or not.... :? ) He was such a brilliant character

You are all right - I will get over this in time and its so silly how much love and affection we give to our pets when we know their life expectancy isnt huge.

I made it to work this morning and only snivelled all the way rather than sobbing so that was a start....

its actually been a bit better today because I am in a Benson Free Zone.

Phil and I are going to go out tonight - anywhere - I dont care - just need to keep busy and distracted...
 
Ooh, I'm a bit late, but, I too am sorry to hear of your misfortune Steph. :cry: Get yourself and Phil to Digital and 'lose it' for a few hours. ;)
 
Sorry to hear that. My dog died 3 years ago...still can't bring myself to get another one...and sorry for my username today...lovely name and a lovely dog i'm sure.

We had to have my parents dog put to sleep back in October, I still cry everytime I go home.
