Can you add an option for people who thought that 'gatecrash the wedding' was a euphemism for something smutty?

does this person know you are going to be there when they're getting wed?
If they do and havent asked you, i wouldnt go.
Sod em!

I wouldn't turn up at anyone's wedding without an invite. But then, I don't like going to weddings anyway and avoid.

I don't like DJing at them either, only done a couple for 'friends' as a favour. DJs in the USA make lots of dosh doing weddings, I just couldn't hack it week in week out, yuk!

The rebel half of me wants to say gatecrash the wedding and just turn up on the day! :D But id like to know how do you know where it is if you havent been invited?

The other half of me says weddings take a lot of planning and preparation and are rather stressful and if someone just turned up to my wedding and expected to be fed and watered Id be pretty p*ssed off! Like Dr Mick said you can go to the service if its in a church. Id be fine with people turning up to the service cos most weddings in churches or registry offices that I have gone to theres been some random checking out the bride (or groom depending on what they go for ;) ) and I can pretty much guess when I get married on Cala Gracionetta in May this year we'll have some randoms watching us! Ive also had people who I hadnt invited ask if they could come, some Ive said no and some Ive said yes :D

If you value their friendship (and you really should if they live in NY, think free holidays ;) ) Id tell them youre in NY and could you come and see them get married?
