uh.. I should point out that, unless you consider Europe to be the whole world, it is the Euro 2004 final taking place on that day, not the World Cup. Or perhaps you're talking about summer 2006?

I'll be there too. I'll be using my pass out of Space to go and watch the match and going back after. Trouble is, so will a thousand or so others.

Time of Euro 2004 Final

The kick off for the Euro 2004 Final on Sunday 4th July is at 19:45 (7:45) but Portugal like the UK is an hour behind Spain, therefore it will 20:45.

A number of the bars in San An who normally don't open till 9:00, are opening early for the Euro games. Cheers in San An have splashed out on a huge 2.7 metre screen and The Highlander Bar have 2 big screens up stairs.

I was in Ibiza for the World Cup, and it is a great atmosphere watching the footie in the sun.

There was definitely a good atmosphere for the World Cup. I was staying in the Hotel El Corso, across the harbor from Ibiza Town in Talamanca. Great crowd gathered in the hotel lobby bar for the games, which were in the mornings and around lunchtime.

I'm still bitter about Germany's 'hand of god blocks equalizing goal' defeat of the US in the quarterfinals of that tournament.

I was in Ibiza for France98 when we got knocked out by Argentina- we watched it in the restaurant of the Florida Hotel in San An. One word of warning- if England make the final avoid the West End like the plague- Guardia Civil were everywhere looking very mean- there were 4x4's and motorbikes everywhere, and they were armed to the teeth and looking mean and ready for business.
