Working In Ibiza 2007

I'm in the same boat as you mate, went out last year and was absolutely devasted i had to come home, so me and my mrs are saving at the mo to go mid june, plan on going to Escape Into The Park on the 16th then fly out on the 18th!

fingers crossed, well nervous and dunno what to expect work wise........

i'll have to wait and see i guess

Just to continue on what I was saying above ^^^ [second post]

My friend and I are going. He will be going back home to Eire after the week and I might be staying to work.

The thing is though... and maybe you guys can help... I will be 17 in may. Not old enough to fly with friend, who will be 16. Unless I can meet someone at the airport [Dublin] or book a holiday with an 18 y/old who is going... im ****ed.
Could anyone help?
Is anyone going from Dub airport around the start of June like us??

ive neva worked out there but i would say yes coz its more lively n theres loads of bars thats were im gunna work i think n im deffo gunna live there in an appartment
 
I´m a first timer and i have decided to do go for most of the summer. end of may through until i get bored(yeah right)/to tired/cant make ends meet.

i am currently living in Valencia Spain whith is only a 4 hour ferry ride away so i might go and look for a job before hand if i can convince a friend with a car! lol maybe speaking spanish will help me get a job but i would imagin most people there if not all speak english anyway???

every1 is talking about PR work and Bar work but what about restaurant work? the money will be enough to get by and go out but the best part is the time table. You finish much earlyer then the bar works, you can go out afterwork ANYNIGHT of the week if u chose to! the next day u wont start work until the aftyernoon so u will have time to get a few hours sleep in. This is the life i have been living in valencia the last year i can only imagin how much better it would be in ibiza! Also i think the work is easyer then bar work and i actually enjoy it most of the time. i think that working in a bar u never stop the entire night serving drink after drink but in restaurants its different there is always time to rest and the work comes in waves. also there the tips!!!! anyway just a thought.

I´m 21 English been living in spain for 19months and looking to shar an apartment with like minded people.
 
PR'ing is more laid back but then again most of the pr jobs go off comission. Restaurant and bar jobs are more secure in my opinion. At least then you have a wage...could be very small but its there :)

Best thing to do is get out there early as possible for the best vacancies...early may ish. June time tends to get a lot busier and the jobs will soon go. Suppose its who ya know tho really 8)

just some stuff i d like to put by any1 who can help.

i ve been speakin to a guy who has worked in ibiza b4 and he said that you need to get a national insurance numba, which u can get at the police station BUT it has to be completed in spanish! any1 else heard this?

Im also goin out myself, scary thot but am a bit worried about accomidation as its ment to be expensive for what u get! is any1 going to arrange accomidation b4 they go?

Ill be back on the white isle as of 2nd may, stayin in a hotel for a week then ....who knows??Ill be on my lonesome! if anyones going to be about the same time give us a shout!:)
