Work contracts

Can somebody help me please??

I signed a contract for this job but haven't seen it since I started. Basically I want to leave as soon as possible and not serve any notice. I've got some temp jobs lined up until xmas and cannot stand it here any longer.

There's nothing they can do to keep me is there? Obviously I won't get paid today but thats no biggie in the grand scheme of things!

Do you get paid weekly? So are you due last weeks money today and next tis week's next week?
 
Just re-read the post and realise you're on monthly. If it's really that bad, all they will is hold today's money.

They're not gonna sue you for breach of contract unless you're on hundreds of thousands a year.

See my post above then, but as an former employer I'd point out that if they haven't missold you the job and have always paid you as promised, you should keep your side of the deal.

thanks- i would never normally do this but they did missell the job to me- i didn't know that when i came for the interview i'd be doing two jobs in one its just to much hassle for a pittance of pay!

If that's an accurate, objective view of the situation, and you've resigned yourself to losing today's pay, why are you at your desk and not at the pub/shops/home:?:
