Work Colleagues

Oh dear 8O I started a new freelance job a couple of weeks ago, everyone in the team seemed really nice and a couple of other freelancers started this week so the Associate Director thought it would be nice if we went out on a team lunch to get to know each other properly away from the office so 9 of us including the 3 top bods went out for lunch today.

8O 8O 8O

After conversation over lunch it is apparent I now work with a bunch of massive caners (all conversation over lunch was Ibiza, secretsundaze, pills, ketamine, you name it), I like this job lots  altho I fear it could be bad for my long term health, welfare and sanity 8O

sounds like you've landed a good one

I feel most at home

Why do I attract fellow reprobates, why can't I be befriended by fine upstanding members of the community that show me the straight and narrow :?

cool babs.

conversation in the 1/4 full public sector office today is getting old, diseases, knitting8O (yes freakin knit one pearl one) and where has the 'BIG' office stapler gone!!

fancy a swop shop babs?

At least no-one is going to expect you to do any work on a monday!!!

Exactly, the main head bloke was even joking bout what state we'll all be in on Mondays and said we'll all just keep our heads down and keep contact with others to a minimum

This is why I am really happy to work with a bunch of straight (well apart from my gay colleague) sensible people, otherwise I would go to hell in a handbasket......

My dual life makes me feel like I work for MI6 or something.....

"So Steph, what did you do at the weekend then?"

"Oh a couple of drinks with friends, popped into a club for a little bit then home really, Sunday was pretty quiet too".......8O

Liar Liar pants on Fire!!!!!!!!

most people in the office know I go clubbing, it's when a few of us start talking about how fun it was at AM that week that people start saying 'are you SURE it opened at 5am, you're lying right? Why would a club open at that time?' that you have to start back tracking....

Ah that is tres cool!!! My work colleagues are all so square!! Really need to get out of this place!

Usual topic on Monday is so Jess any more bruises/telling people you loved them/falling over etc??

If only they knew what I Really get up to!!!:D

It's good in the sense that you can share sympathies on a Monday but bad in the sense that temptation is always going to be there 8O

In the building where we work Damian Lazarus is starting a Monday 8O night residency on the first Monday of the month and they were talking about going to that this Monday and I was like going 'noooooo, can't hear you' 8O

I know, I used to meet lot of my workmates at clubs and it's always a bit disturbing to meet the manager acccount when both of you are like this 8O

Wierd double lifes eh? know the feeling... As have to take temporary `winter`jobs when back in the UK, this year found myself working in a top position in a bank!! Not really sure how I managed to blag that one, but work with a bunch of squares, all thinking that going for a drink at the pub on friday nights is the height of sinning. At the sametime, am also doing some podium dancing at a local club at weekends, didn`t bother telling any of my colleagues about my second job, so was a bit embarrassed to say the least when a group of them walked into the club on Friday, only to see their normally suited and booted colleage wearing a tutu and masquerade mask, strutting around on a podium..... worse still, thought I had lost them when dropped my first bean, only to notice them later staring at me goggle eyed whilst I was cutting up the dancefloor in a dance off with a fellow dance colleague...am not looking forward to having to explain myself tomorrow morning.......

Wow Barbie, sounds like a great bunch of people, although not sure if that is the best crowd workwise. But who cares about working anyways

Btw, do any companies do drug testing on their employees in the UK?

beats all the other stories in this thread hands down

i love the irony in this thread.
young hipsters moaning about boring work colleagues who then come on here talking about tea making machines, pink wine, and pictures of puppies!
