Have any of you actually been to WMC?

I was chatting to folks in Space (Ibiza) a few weeks ago and they said it was rubbish.

you can't compare to Ibiza...
It has a different vibe,
but for a week you have the top djs in the world in Miami.

What do you mean by "different vibe"? Is that a way of saying that the crowd aren't as up-for-it/friendly/involved? I think the vibe is almost as important as the music....... so if the vibe is wrong I'll save my money for Ibiza 2006.

no, that week people from all over the world come to party, the vibe IS there, since everyones is there for the same reason, Music. Since it's only one week, there are too many people, some clubs sell out, and rules of the clubs and the city (which can't compare to Ibiza), thats the vibe that i'm talking about...

Are the police quite strict about things? I heard they shut some places down fairly early?

Yes, you can still party (like 1999) and have a great time...It's just sometimes they are trying to play Miami Vice.
 
.....best thing about Miami ......you can socialise with your favorite DJ's .....Singers ...MC's.....on a one to one level in the daytime.....at small intimate gatherings.......the one thing that is nye on impossible in Ibiza...........ish.......
