when does yr contract end? how much notice do u need to give? if the notice period u gave co-incides with end of contract, u can go on that date.
if she gives u any more grief buy some of those chocolate laxitives and give her a few...

Like Chewie says, check your contract Lou. A month at this time of year is 4 weeks. If it is a month then go in there and slap your notice round her stupid head.
My contract was only a temporary one that ended April 8th but they did assume I was staying longer, anyways....in my contract it says that I can leave if you give the usual 1 months b*ll*cks notice and I'm giving the stinkers 6 weeks...coz I'm nice! Wish I hadn't bothered! 
And this is what they do in return! I'm definitely sat on the naughty step in here today Chew! None of the bosses will speak to me in here at the moment and I have been told "I'm a dissapointment to everyone in here?!" What the funk?! You would think I've killed someone or something!

Work to rule, give them the minimum 4 weeks and get the funk outa there babe.

oh for funks sakes, its not like yr working as a top of your profession frigging brain surgeon. u answer fones, do admin. how hard is that for them to replace?
maybe theyre funked off cos they're actually gonna have to do some work in finding a replacement.
tell em to get a funking life. ill be happy to do it for ya cos im lookin for a fight at the mo.

Me too Chewie, in one of those moods today. Tell 'em to stick it Lou, and while you're at it (if you can afford) change your notice to 4 weeks, and tell them it's in your contract.

Did someone say that you worked at the NHS? I can understand now, the people they employ to work at the NHS are mostly social misfits who do not know how to conduct themselves in a work manner and have no idea how to manage people. They have no power whatsoever, they just think they do. I would leave on the original day you wanted to - remember its illegal to give someone a bad reference.
