sorry Stephen, wasn't meanign to shout.
i always take up the overtaking lane cause im always driving fast. if someone is driving faster than me, i move over and let them through. if they get caught speeding thats fine by me, i dont give a damn. its when people interfere with the road system, ie, speeding up so folk cant overtake, that in my opinion cauises accidents, or poses the greater risk. yes i speed. am i ashamed? no. i drive within my capablities and only where the conditions allow.

Completely agree....me and my other half have many a arguments about this....I think he drives waaaaaaaaay too fast but the thing is...I´m not yelling at him as he is a very good driver, I feel completely safe with him and trust him 100%, HOWEVER....its the other morons on the road doing silly things that will cause the accident and we will unfortunatly end up 10 times worse off....
God help....hes picking up his new John Copper Works, 210bhp Mini as we speak!

No worries mate. It's not the motorway I do it on. There are far too many nutters out there without me adding to them. I am the same as you. If I see someone approaching quickly I move over as soon as I can, let them pass, then move back.
I'm just talking about normal roads where you can see for miles if anything is coming. Probably no where near as dangerous as I made out.

My favourite car past-time is when you're at lights, and some boy racer / estate car with businessman in it etc pulls up alongside you, revving his engine and edging forward so that they can cut you up and pull out in front of you.
I just sit back, dont even move, but keep my eyes on the light until they go orange then...zzzzoooooooooom off in front of them hehehehehe
I haven't got a particularly fast car but it's pretty nippy off the mark.
(NB you've got to weigh up the pro's and cons; can you realistically beat the car next to you? I.e I'd never bother if it was a faaster car than I've got, but you can normally judge who's going to win )
