why does everyone hate the west end and the nights in san an..

the concentration of them is, and in my experience in Ibiza town they generally take no for an answer, in the west end there is nothing I hate more than some spotty little ned mouthing off just because I dont want to go in his ****ty bar or go to a crap night at eden.


Also in answer to the second part of Kevdig00's OP, about the San An clubs; The clubs are dives, the crowd is the same as populating the west end and the nights are, IMO, far inferior. Theres no way I'd go to a water party or Paella party or to see Dangerous Dave or the judge when over the island you have the likes of Cox, Sasha, Digweed, Lawler, Morrillo, Van Dyk etc etc doing their thing. Gatecrasher is scraping the barrel, cashing in on a club brand that lost it over 5 years ago.
 
It serves a purpose, be it cheap drinking before clubs, be it keeping the roughians away from the places outside of San An, be it cheap nights inbetween club nights. You can't say it's not a bonus to the place because if you don't like it, don't go there. Granted it does look disgusting and I hate to see the English embarassing our country infront of locals, other tourists and fellow English. Just don't slag it off to all and sundry just to look cool which someone said previously and is very true ! I personally think it's a great place to have fun and you certainly see more happy faces there than all the pretentious places elsewhere where you can't see behind most peoples cuffing sunglasses. Also, accessible girlies are in West End :D .

Agreed...I hate the west end...but I also hate Sasha, Digweed and Van Dyk.

So, I'm effectively looking at your tastes in the same way that you're looking at his. :lol:

It's an island that caters for lots of people, nowt wrong with that. No one's making you go there.
 
I went there 7 nights in a row like i said and never saw any lager lowts or woteva you people called them, just full of people all ages having a laugh. plus wot is wrong with eden and such like,,going to nights like gatecrasher is what clubbing is all about( i thought neway), raving around dancin till your feet hurt not strolling around lolling about in places like space,

I think you may be onto a loosing argument. If you like Eden, judgement sundays etc then great, but you can't question why certain people prefare space, pacha, or whatever. Don't worry so much about others likes and dislikes and just have fun. 8)
 
I normally stay in Playa Den Bossa, and I went to the West End once to a mexican restaurant which was really nice....... but everyone else was too British an pissed. And I am very British. Not good, go to PDB/Ibiza Town for the best nights out.

as is happens I am not a major fan of PVD but think he is the best as what he does and as far as trance djs go is miles ahead of dave pearce, my point is that the night in eden tend not, to have the leading dj's in their field.

and for the record my fave style of music is jackin' house which is poorly represented on the island.
 
i don't think its full of chavs/scallies at all...........piss heads, the odd lager lout, football fans, people who wear union jacks, yeah a bit of that, agreed.

the west end is essentially a friendly place, scallies and trouble causers don't like it there cos people are more intent on having a good time than picking fights or lookin hard or being part of a big gang.
