i got news for ya...dave pearce is garbage...i listen to tong every week all the way here in NYC via the internet...u guys dont know how lucky u r just to have stations in the UK that play good music...u wouldnt believe how bad the radio in NYC is....hiphop is so pop culture here its nauseating...and dance music basically doesnt exist here...Miami has a good dance station called Party 93, but Miami is Americas Ibiza...they even have a show like the essential mix which is called the Global DJ broadcast

I will say one thing about this topic, if I earned as much money as Dave Pearce does, Id be very happy with myself and I wouldnt give a f@ck what anyone thought about my dj-ing skills!!!

My ten pence worth...

I used to like DP back when he was on kiss... have seen him at Eden. thought he was ok. nothing new, played what the kinda crowd at Eden would have expected.

now if u like this sort of stuff fair play! cos its banging and hard innit mate! - and we all know how most of us brits love the word Hard.

if u like bright lights and being fed the shite n buying the same tunes mixed differently on cds to blast out of yr Saxo VTRs and look a tit, then go for it! - just cos its got a name and is selling well dont mean its good!

anyways, i think DP has his place for the younger lot generally. but they will grow out of it sooner or later!

as for being a music snob. its not about music snobbery... its about the shite not liking the "im harder than u attitude". and having a good time with everyone around u. :D

as jimi hendrix once said, theres only two types of music, "good music and bad music", fatty pearce definetly falls into the latter category, unimaginative tunes, mixed unimaginetvley to appeal to the largest common denominator. a big pile of poo if you ask me.
